Early access, huh? I'll give it a look once it's actually finished.

Quoting: kerossinI don't know who Garry Newman is but he sounds like the typical sociopath executive - everything's a product, everyone's replaceable, it's just business, it's allowed by law therefore it's right. Just because a law allows something doesn't mean it's right, plus those kinds of people usually only use laws when it suits them.
Actually, he's a small independent developer who is mostly known for his modification of the Source Engine known as Garry's Mod.

Garry Newman is a software developer who makes money from his own intellectual property, so he gets it, and it's refreshing to see his perspective on intellectual property theft as opposed to the usual weeping and gnashing of teeth we get from people.

Yes, why do people keep doing what's right in the face of an idiotic legal system. Silly protesters with their values. We'll never understand. When the deck's stacked against you, just roll over immediately, that's what I say.
Yes, let's just ignore all laws we don't like or find inconvenient. Anarchy always works out the best for everybody.

I can remember the early days when there was only a handful of native Linux games in Steam. How far we've come.

The only thing that bothers me is that Linux gaming is essentially synonymous with Steam. I was really hoping that other developers would be inspired by Valve to support Linux directly, but it has been left to Valve to do all the heavy lifting, and as much as I appreciate what they have done for Linux gaming, it makes me nervous having all the eggs in one basket, as the saying goes.

This is exactly why I have never and will never support Kickstarter or any other crowdfunding platform, including Steam's early access: developers are free to break their promises after taking your money, and there's nothing the consumer can do about it.

But how are you going to know it's a gaming device if it doesn't have the LEDs?
