This is nothing new. Many years ago, I read an article in PC Gamer titled "Best and Worst Gaming Trends of 1996", and the top worst trend was games being released in a bug ridden and unfinished state.

And yet Epic still won't port their most popular game to Linux. I personally don't give a crap about Fortnite, but the fact that there's not a Linux version tells you everything you need to know about how Epic feels about us.

I bought recently a blue Cherry MX keyboard that a friend of mine said was obnoxious. I told him I bought it because I can barely hear it through the noise canceling headphones I end up wearing all day for work. :p

I'm a Cherry Brown aficionado myself.

Ah, much like the days of the Amiga and Atari ST, it's better to live in Europe if you want 'alternate' phones.

I'm not sure what your reference is to Amiga and Atari ST in Europe, because those were both very popular home computers here in the US.

Anyway, I could always install a third-party open source OS on my Pixel 3, which is tempting but not without its risks, and since I do depend on my phone for work (primarily SMS for logging into certain remote systems), I really can't afford a bricked phone if something were to go awry.

If you're serious about flight simulators then a joystick is a minimum requirement. Even better is a yoke. I have CH Products Eclipse Yoke which has integrated rudder paddles. It makes flight simming so much more enjoyable (although I don't fly as much as I used to).
