Heroic v2.4.0 Beta is where the fun begins.

What movie is that? Looks like sort of sci-fi flick.

I don't like the fact that the install buttons are all shown and highlighted at once, for every game tile. They should be IMO highlighted only when you hover on them. It feels very aggressive on the eyes and and sort of disruptive when you browse the library.
Always showing the name of the game is a good move, but the rest of the buttons should remain hidden unless hover on them.

Quoting: pbOn an unrelated note, I unsubscribed from stadia not long after receiving my SteamDeck. It works great for me, but I fond I hardly ever used it any more. Glad that I will still have access to the games I purchased, without the need for subscription. I probably won't miss the Pro titles that much.
I managed to stay away from Stadia for several months, damn Destiny 2 was becoming so addictive, eating my whole free (and not only) time. Somehow, I got "cured" for a while, and I even finished some games from my Steam backlog.
Alas, I relapsed again, in fact I think is time to check today's quests. Oh dear...

Running very well, there's two demos (or rather levels) to explore; the village and the castle. Worth mentioning though that the default controller settings might need to be tweaked a little. Basically disable head-bobbing and gamepad acceleration, otherwise you might get motion-sickness, at least I did after few minutes. Don't know what were they thinking with those weird settings...

Well, since SteamOS 3 proper* is dragging its feet, I suppose I'll upgrade 22 LTS then.

* I do have a SteamOS 3 installation used strictly for gaming, but my main workhorse is still Ubuntu for the moment.

I think that's only for games running through Proton. That being said, the majority of games are running through Proton anyway :)

The Steam Deck hit me over the head with feelings of nostalgia

I don't really need such device and I've been stubbornly refuse to give in to FOMO and get one, but lately I feel that I may lose and just do it.
I expected and hoped to see the Deck well received, but the public response was out of this world, is like is magic. Is maybe the most buggy device released in the recent years, and yet, people are out of their minds about it.
I must get one and find out what's going on.
