Not sure if it coincides with what you had in mind though.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyI wonder whether at some point it will be worth forking SteamOS? They could call it "VaporOS" and start building in the things we wish Valve would do with SteamOS, all open source so Valve can use them if they want.It just happens that there is already a VaporOS: http://vaporos.net/ [External Link]

I don't know about OEMs...maybe, but I don't think about Valve that they "have it all wrong", but rather exactly how they wanted.
Sure, is not how we wanted to be, but I'm pretty sure they are very much aware of the current situation with SteamOS and everything related to it.

The logo wasn't a real problem at higher resolutions (it wasn't scaled to match), but then again, at higher resolution the whole thing crawled to a halt, so hm...
Personally I did't had too much success with it, it did worked yes, but it wasn't such a awesome workaround as I hoped it would be.
Let's see with this one.

Quoting: Avehicle7887Seems to describe the Transgaming SwiftShader perfectly. I used it quite a few times (when I used Windows) just for testing but the huge logo didn't give a good experience, felt like playing a tech demo. If this thing comes to Linux I might be interested in testing this.Indeed, by googling around I see that is made by the same person, only this being a newer version.

Hope they'll make it.

Quoting: PicoboomMy favorite thing, even over its being free, is where the developer says: [External Link]Hint: reddit > /r/Linux_Gaming > Transmissions Element 120 Linux Port
I also had a programmer reach out and offer to help port TE120 to Linux. While that may sound simple it was a mountain of work and I couldn’t have done it without his help.Who was that masked man? That fearless, peerless programmer?

Off topic: I'm having difficulties connecting to this site lately at random times, sometimes for few minutes, sometimes for almost an hour, are you working on it or something?

Using whatever/random demo files will lead to confusing/conflicting comparisons.
The demo file PTS is using is dota2-pts-1971360796.dem (Global eSports Cup Finals):

Quoting: liamdaweThis is just a guide, people are free to use whatever demo file they choose.Sure, but if users are to test and compare results it makes sense to use the same file.
