Hoping for the best for this one.

Google open sources SwiftShader, a library for high-performance graphics rendering on the CPU

Quoting: Avehicle7887Seems to describe the Transgaming SwiftShader perfectly. I used it quite a few times (when I used Windows) just for testing but the huge logo didn't give a good experience, felt like playing a tech demo. If this thing comes to Linux I might be interested in testing this.
Indeed, by googling around I see that is made by the same person, only this being a newer version.
The logo wasn't a real problem at higher resolutions (it wasn't scaled to match), but then again, at higher resolution the whole thing crawled to a halt, so hm...
Personally I did't had too much success with it, it did worked yes, but it wasn't such a awesome workaround as I hoped it would be.
Let's see with this one.

Hm, 64 hours to go and about 3000$ still missing to reach the goal.
Hope they'll make it.

Quoting: PicoboomMy favorite thing, even over its being free, is where the developer says: [External Link]

I also had a programmer reach out and offer to help port TE120 to Linux. While that may sound simple it was a mountain of work and I couldn’t have done it without his help.
Who was that masked man? That fearless, peerless programmer?

A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty "Hi Ho Silver!" THE LONE LINUXIAN RIDES AGAIN!

Who ever you are, Lone Linuxian, THANK YOU!!!

Thank you.
Off topic: I'm having difficulties connecting to this site lately at random times, sometimes for few minutes, sometimes for almost an hour, are you working on it or something?

Quoting: liamdaweThis is just a guide, people are free to use whatever demo file they choose.
Sure, but if users are to test and compare results it makes sense to use the same file.
Using whatever/random demo files will lead to confusing/conflicting comparisons.

The demo file PTS is using is dota2-pts-1971360796.dem (Global eSports Cup Finals):

Which is the same 1971360796.dem demo file used by Valve devs :

Well, I believe that one thing we should do for obtaining meaningful easily comparable results is to use the same demo file as a kind of standard.
Any demo file should do, but personally I think that the one Michael is using is more suited to the job. He's doing frequent benchmarks with high coverage (you might want to compare with) and the file he's using can be easily found on the Dota 2 test profile: http://openbenchmarking.org/ [External Link] > Tests > Dota 2 > Revision history > latest release.
It is also the same file that Vulkan Source2 developers from Valve are recommending for testing, so it makes sense for me to use it as reference.

It is indeed well done, a bit short mind you, but compared with a bunch of HL modifications I played it stands apart.
