Quoting: Liam DaweUpdated the article with testing info.@Liam, Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE) has Steam Deck CPU ID detection, so the anti-cheat whitelists the LCD model Steam Deck but all other Linux devices are blocked.

Roblox still runs on Linux with Waydroid. The Performance isn't great, however, but playable on a fast enough computer.

VKD3D-Proton is pretty much unusable under ANV at this time, so that will put the breaks on any Linux adoption for AAA gaming.
Talking Point: how about a monthly Steam Game Pass from Valve

Another question would be is, if a Steam Game Pass subscription were made, would Linux and macOS Steam users obtain access to different curated selection of games compared to Windows players or would Valve only choose games that support all three platforms? Linux and Mac users having the same games (some that may not work) wouldn't make much sense nor be fair, especially if the subscription pricing was the same.
Valve could only leverage Proton for Linux not macOS and kernel anti-cheat games would need to be excluded if they aren't native ports.
It seems like deciding on this in a fair manner could get complicated pretty fast.

I probably wouldn't be interested in a subscription myself but if it could help compete against Microsoft Game Pass for PC, if priced similarly with an equal or greater selection of quality games.
It could help chip away at the Microsoft Store and keep it at bay on PC. Anything that can help fight the Microsoft app store is good in my mind simply because it's UWP and thus is incompatible with Wine/Proton, whereas other game launchers and store fronts are Win32 based and generally run.

Supposedly it also fixes a bug that was causing Ubisoft Connect to not remember saved login credentials.
Looks like we may see Steam properly on Chrome OS by the end of 2021

Keep in mind that games running inside the Borealis VM on Chrome OS will likely be using Virgil 3D and as of now there is no Vulkan support.
Linux gaming without Vulkan (and DXVK) and a virtualized GPU for OpenGL and WineD3D on-top on integrated graphics doesn't sound great for gaming.
I have two Chromebooks but I cannot see myself wanting to game with these limitations. GeForce NOW and Stadia seem to be much better options for Chromebooks. I guess we'll see how this plays out.
