I don't think the 5700XT does anywhere near as good with proton,. But the handful of native stuff phoronix tests, sure.

Those results can be quite skewed however, really you need to look at it on a per game basis.

Quoting: ShmerlWhat's the point? 5700 XT already beats that. Higher end than that would be somewhere in 2080 territory already.
This is false. I hear this allot but the 5700XT is around %10 slower at the very least!

What the hell is a Acer Predator? a laptop? if so then I'm not surprised your having issues. Video cards + linux + laptops seem to always have something going wrong.

Quoting: XpanderMeh :( i was hoping for 5800 or 5900

Its a pipe dream, NAVI 5800 / 5900 is going to struggle against the 1080TI....

Intel giving hints at a possible Intel Xe dedicated GPU release in June 2020

Apparently NVIDIA will have their next series of cards out Q1 2020 so it will be interesting. Honestly the only reason to go NVIDIA is for the TOP END card performance at 4k, if your 1080p or 1440p gamer then there is absolutely no reason to only consider them, Intel and AMD are releasing middle end cards, there will be no top end.

I don't care what AMD says, by the time their big NAVI comes out its going to be way too late and cost WAY too much. That's how its been for quite some time now and I see no reason why it would change.

Black screen issue, reminds me of Gaijins Warthunder Vulkan initiative, hehe. I wonder if this issue is consistent across all window managers compositors.

heard the game runs quite a bit better with proton vs native. Wish they move to vulkan in a future update.
