valve should really make the source engines open-source!

Planet Nomads has left Early Access and feels like a big missed opportunity

Yeah I got in via gog long ago, when multiplayer was firmly said to be in, then they back flipped on that and said it was going to be a great single player experience... and here we are with a lemon.... Feels like starforge all over again... this dev will NEVER get my support again until a super awesome finished product is 1.0+++ and every single review praises it....

NMS is pretty good these days, and has continued support, and also has mod support (has several hubs).
YES THERE ARE MODS TO MAKE PLANETS AND LIFE MORE INTERESTING.. NM is a single planet, and a waste of time atm.

No need to bottle it all up as Wine 4.7 is out with an updated Mono engine and more

is d9vk and vk9 one and the same? I know the VK9 guy left for life reasons, is that code being pulled over to d9vk?

Epic looking fantasy RPG 'Edge Of Eternity' still plans a Linux release, not soon though

So its NOT a MMO right? I don't mind multiplayer like Outward does it but I hate huge MMO RPG, ruins the atmosphere and often results in significant single player sacrifices! (and subs)

Terraforming isn't the only thing coming to Surviving Mars, you will also be breeding animals

I corrected it so people don't keep coming back 400 years from now telling me I'm wrong. Some articles suggested 25kg per day so there is variability depending on quality of food and breed of cow.

You can make bio-fuels or turn it into fertiliser/compose also. But in reality plants would be grown via hydroponics on Mars, the martian soil is likely going to have nasties in it that kill plant growth and certainly would kill animals. (radiation anyone?)

It be a whole lot of work, likely a colony even super advanced one would stick with hydroponics and synthetic meats indefinitely. Even if by some miracle you converted the atmosphere to breathable, doesn't fix the soil.

Well in that case, yeah. I never really played the game and thought it was trying to simulate surviving colony on mars.. lol
