Quoting: chrisqI've wondered what the reasoning behind it is.
Probably just wants everyone to know what a special little snowflake he is :)

Either way this is no different to doom and many other violent video games IMO, people are seriously shallow these days and cherry pick things under an ideal of standards but let's be honest, COD/BF4/this.... it's all the same kind of violence in the end!

Stop being a snowflake!

it would look pretty good if they added selective tessellation and real time soft+shadows. Maybe one day.

Warthunder and Tomb Raider have this issue at times. At least when using OpenGL mode,.

NVIDIA pushed out two new Linux drivers recently with 396.45 and 390.77

Somebody was telling me that 396.24.10 has poorer opengl performance compared to mainstream driver, I haven't done any tests myself to confirm that or not.

The Tyranid threat often had the emporium break tradition, except when the Tyranid attacks chaos forces that is (something about being a threat to its food supply), then they just slowly back away.

Allot of those problems go away when you start integrating everything into a slim motherboard all-in-one package.

Atari VCS RAM upgraded to 8GB and Atari confirm you can put a normal Linux distribution on it

If the PS4 slim allowed linux usage with its CPU/GPU it would shit all over this thing, but since its proprietary, the VCS has a edge, still for $299USD it seems too much but I understand why the price is high given the escalation of memory prices and such for the last couple years.

For $199usd I'd be interested, but $299 is just not attractive to me. I can get a older revision of the switch for that or less and mod it to allow custom stuff on which is a tegra1 PC.

I'd be happy if the VCS does well and Atari make a comeback to the console scene, allowing them to release a REAL console competitor.

Prepare a glass for some more Wine as DXVK 0.62 is out with possible performance improvements

Its not rare to find DXVK performance to be better than a Linux games OpenGL support.

For NVIDIA Vulkan+Wine games run pretty close to windows performance (some people claim better performance) but with AMD and RADV there is a perf hit due to the windows vulkan driver being better. You can hack in the AMDGPU-PRO vlk driver for better performance.
