Probably a good thing, honestly this developer should really get Vulkan out to all platforms so they can at least deal with the performance issues, in particular Linux is really chugging with its OGL build, and is particularly bad at 1440-2160p resolutions (you know the future since we aren't all at 1080p still).
Also can't you just host the server yourself or MUST you pay for a server?

Quoting: ShmerlWill it help Star Citizen, or Lumberyard is now independent from Cry Engine? It should, there is nothing stopping them from pulling in Vulkan support from CryEngine, infact Chris said in the past they were waiting for the Cry team to do it.

Quoting: mrdeathjrIn my case works stable (tested with wine 2.10) and dont have this bug (possible gallium bug)I tried without G9, could be a FuryX amdgpu related issue. I haven't done more testing about it. Also I see your running NVIDIA card, so yeah big difference.

Last game I played in wine was dragons dogma, it worked best with G9 drivers but there was a issue with the shadows causing aliased white outlining when they overlapped (which flickered). May not sound that bad but the game has LOTS of trees and bushes with overlapping shadows so the artifact ended up everywhere and was annoying as heck.

work and work flawlessly are two different things. I'm able to get most dx9 games working also but very often you come up against less then ideal performance situations or weird graphical glitches that can't be resolved such as flickering shadows or other effects.

Another developer being silent about exactly the issues they are facing with Linux (like specific not generalizations). The only way to get a solution is to be vocal about the problem. Too many would-be Linux port developers have gone away silently instead of reaching out.

Reminds me of Limit Theory, game appearance wise. Yes that game is still being developed but instead of being a 2-3yr project it looks like it might end up being a 10yr one since the dev has early schizophrenia or something (at least following his logs, that appears to be the case)

Its the same old argument most windows fans use, and that is because Linux isn't on par with Windows with drivers/features/games/performance then its declining and failing.
However as we all know it has been getting considerably better over time and even more so lately, things like these don't ever start in reverse like many think, it always starts off bad and gradually gets better and will always take longer then you want.

I wonder how Skyrim Special Edition runs, I know Fallout4 just barely works but last time I tried skyrim it was unable to render main menu correctly and had some weird resolution lock going on.
