OLED is getting kinda silly cheap these days. Hopefully they can figure something out for SD2.

Basically once you've used OLED, you'll never turn back. I find it VERY hard to touch my VR Pico-4 because it's clearly using some cheap LCD and the blacks are all grey. (less noticeable on handheld however)

Quoting: scaineAt least on the top end unit, the screen is vibrant and crystal clear. Not how I'd describe a LCD TN panel if that is what SD use.

Well -forcedesktopscaling #.# does work now but the UI is a bit slow and wonky with mouse click zones.
The splash and login screen can often cut off part of whats being displayed since they are sized for the original tiny DPI.
Oh and yes I believe it has crashed X11 on me a few times. Normally when shutting steam down while doing something or something... whatever. Progress is progress I guess.

I'd be happy with just a plain old 800p oled given the hardware is likely not going to be ideal at 1200p anyway so your going to be using FSR a lot.
Even for the Z1 Max chip I'd say 1080p is just fine for handheld of that performance (again OLED)

I think they made like 4 or 5 more SS movies after the first one. They were not all bad.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyNo, they just don't like monopolies, or even oligopolies. Which I'm morally certain you already knew before you asked.Well its a bit late now isn't it. They should have complained way back when Disney and Apple started buying up the planet....

Still cheaper to get a Steam Deck $399usd and upgrade SSD for $50-70 since NVME/SSD suitable are getting a lot cheaper now, its not so much of a expense.
Sure you miss the etched glass but honestly I don't think its worth it given basic LCD.
Valve technically own their spin of Linux via SteamOS and no other company can come along and go, hey lets insert some analytics here and a edge advertisement here, and weather app over there... lol

Quoting: EikeAs usual... Linux is just more user friendly! :DNo it's not, but that is not the issue. Linux can be much more customized and optimized for a handheld and doesn't have MS services and DRM baked in.
