Quoting: LoftyNvidia binary driver user here..
I had assumed good real world multi-monitor would work ok by now on x-server and i was wrong. Here with my dual screen mixed refresh/resolution combo
Might be a nvidia driver issue; I have a AMD 6800xt

Quoting: cybikI still loathe meta for everything they do to screw over everyone else
Yeah apparently they've been buying up all A/V-R related resources like Lens fabs and talent early on in order to stranglehold competition. I won't ever be buying another one of their headsets again, I hope! (competition struggling and falling over)

I look forward to the day I can switch to Wayland. But we still need some better Display Management stuff like Brightness/Gamma/Contrast/ICC controls along with HDR at some point.

Pretty sure this is running on OpenGL still; quite impressively really. There is a option for Vulkan but its never been updated and doesn't really work; it be nice if they updated Vulkan and moved to it as the default.

Also this be a great game to get VR edition or something down the line.

Seems no hope for Insurgency: Sandstorm on Steam Deck / Linux

Yeah so they don't want to update to the latest EAC SDK which would offer them better protection against cheaters.. Instead they prefer to use older versions which basically do nothing to stop cheating....

Game ALREADY works under Proton from my testing. So they could JUST enable that EAC support unless their trying to argue they can't update EAC implementation (seen some devs use that excuse).

Unfortunate.

Luckily many competitors that are looking ALLOT better then Sandstorm are coming out these days so if the developer of IST insists on keep EAC disabled for Linux users then people will just move to other shooter games! and so they should!

SteamOS for the Steam Deck gets slimmed down to 10GB

I wonder if Steam Deck will have disk compression enabled. I've been using zstd:3 (default) on my btrfs drives for a few weeks now with great success. ARK for example, down from 284GB to 100GB! and no performance hit. However perhaps the Steam Deck won't have good enough CPU so performance hit may be noticeable?

Game still runs on OpenGL under Linux doesn't it?
