Yes, Cyberpunk runs at 60 fps on Stadia and looks great.

Valve puts up Proton 5.13-4 to get Cyberpunk 2077 working on Linux for AMD GPUs

My last 2 cents because I'm finding reading a lot of these posts to be...I don't know...a trip down fantasy island: Proton & Linux support is never going to be what you want it to be. Your games may work, they may not. Not one of these corporations is going to spend the time future-proofing any of this, only contributors. Valve will have their limits, and their "limits" will involve monetary value. Back to where we already were, eh? I know the goal is to get Proton/Wine to "just work" but we aren't close to being there yet. So, the suggestion to "buy the game to show support" is a comment born out of sheer insecurity or a quest for validation from Windows gamers. Get out of the silo every once in a while and get a better perspective because it's silly. I'm going to come off sounding harsh, I'm too old to be pussyfooting with my thoughts here.

Some of you are investing waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much into this conversation. Not a popular opinion but like I said, my last 2 cents.

I'm playing it on Stadia or Xbox Series X. I have other battles to fight, this one freaking game surely isn't one. Keyword was "game".

Quoting: massatt212what some of y'all don't understand, is if u don't show any support they wont waste their time, native or not toy should show support so they can see linux users are serious, but if some of y'all are like, im not buying a game cause its not native linux game, if i was a dev and i see that practice ill never make a game for linux and let y'all fight to make it work on proton without any support, but CD PR gave valve the game access to get the linux proton version run good at launch.

Ill be waiting for benchmark videos on CyberPunk cant wait to see Windows 10 Vs Proton linux, GO GO GO
Linux gamers *maybe* make up 2% of PC gamers. I think us Linux gamers really need to get some perspective. Developers aren't chasing that holy, non-existent grail of getting that sweet cash from a target audience of 2%. Stop the FOMO. :D Furthermore, I would never buy a game unsupported for my platform. Because this day-1 scenario really sounds like the game is unsupported for Linux. My cash is better spent elsewhere.

Stadia is a nice option.

What have you been gaming on Linux recently? Come have a chat

Xcom: Enemy Unknown & Two Point Hospital for me :) Looking at some games in my catalog I haven't played, Meltdown looks like something I'm going play this week as well.

Speculation: It's looking like Rocket League may finally arrive on Linux in September

Quoting: pythoneerDon't care anymore. The game was interesting when it was released. Totally lost interest in it – to be honest i really forgot the game altogether and i don't care in the 12th "soon to be released news" anymore. I am throwing my money at people who deliver – not just promising. If they finally release it – i don't care anymore.
So because a game was delayed, you're just going to completely ignore it? That's such a sad attitude to take.
I own the game, but I think his stance is fair. For any product, there is a window. For many, that window is closed. Not his/her duty to actually give it consideration at this point. I don't find it to be a sad attitude at all. To each their own.

Also, I don't think it will ship next month. I'll believe it when I see it and I won't be shocked if the Linux release still doesn't happen in 2016 or if ever. It's not anyone's prerogative to care either way at this point. It's just another game that missed it's window and it has closed for many. We've all seen this movie before, why do we behave as if this is different?

Quoting: ElectricPrismWell since it came free with the controller I'll try it out but my expectations are dirt low...
Ditto.

Mojang working on new launcher for Minecraft, Linux might not see support

Quoting: MisterKI hope this isn't the same BS that Microsoft pulls with Steam on Linux. Leave the linux userbase with an older, less features, and barely functioning version of skype to deter people from switching platforms from windows.
As a guy who has worked with Windows products for years: it is. I never expected less. It will be veiled, it will be long coming but it will happen.

Best Buds vs Bad Guys, an action platformer made by a dad and son team on Kickstarter

Looks like a Super NES game. You had me at "hello". Also, the father & son team aspect is great.

Edit: Dad seems to be the same guy who created 'Life of Pixel'. Working on this gem as well: http://platform-maker.com/ [External Link]. A lover of classic gaming. I can get behind a guy like that.

System Shock remake heads to Kickstarter, Linux is the first stretch-goal
29 Jun 2016 at 11:46 am UTC

Example of a company who can make this game without the need to crowdsource. Leave Kickstarter to the small indie guys. Having Linux as a stretch goal is laughable. You either do or don't.

I'm sorry, I hope this blows up in their faces.

Indie turn-based board strategy game 'UFHO2' is now FREE on Steam

2 free games 2 days in a row. Where will I find the time? Yes, this looks like fun.

Megapolis, a classic city simulator is now on Steam with Linux support

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTIt actually looks like a browser game or 90s city builder.
Is that a bad thing or good thing? Or is it a matter of opinion which bleeds into the first question?
