Sounds like they bit off more than the could chew. They promised the world to get the support and are now back-tracking as they realise they don't have the capacity. It's a shame studios can't be more reasonable when promoting their content.

The reasoning is quite understandable. They are not confident they'll recoup development cost porting to Linux. If the Windows platform generates enough income it can offset the development costs of the Linux port. However, from the looks of it the Windows version failed to recoup their current development cost or at least they only broke even.

Can't really see why some folk are disgruntled with Java, it's a good programming language. Swing (default Java UI System) is indeed horrible. What they replacing it with: JavaFX, Qt?

I don't get this. How do exclusives force anyone to do anything at all? If a game isn't available on my OS, I shrug and move on. I certainly do not feel compelled to install Windows or buy a Console just so I can play them. Exclusives are bad, full stop. Besides, if you love Linux for the freedom it affords you, why do you feel the need to force it down someone's throat?
Though I agree with your sentiment, a lot of people will buy a console to play a certain game.
