If you have the first DLC there is a mutator that allows for more forgiving RNG , and for more forgiving mission unlocks RNG in regards of how poorly you'll plan your base construction and developement. So if that's what you meant and are after yeah X-COM 2 + DLC is a clear bump in a more welcoming experience to the new comer.

Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks. See, I love Fire Emblem games but base building in XCOM was not a fun part of the strategy for me.

Naked is a great first impression. :D You don't need any DLC to have a great game. That said, my favorite DLC is Synthetic Dawn because I really like the droid race, and I also like Utopia for the mega structures. I'll reiterate that the DLC is not required until you are ready for some changes.

I tried this out today. I followed the instructions on Lutris and everything worked first try! I didn't have the small window problem that Liam did. I got 100+ FPS on Ultra and was 17-0 my first match! I can't believe this is possible now.

I don't understand why a group of people that willingly choose to be in a 1-2% minority would develop an entitled and demanding attitude. It is our choice to play on the underdog platform. Man up and create reasons to deserve respect.

I came in here thinking, "Alright, what's this Total War game. I probably am not going to care this time." And then I watched the trailer. It's a really well-done trailer! A little bit of drama background and then gameplay with explanation. Sounds very cool now.
