RimWorld - Biotech expansion announced and a big free update

I like the childbirth part, but the rest of the biotech ruins the feeling of the game to me. Don't think I'll pay for this one.

People that have been in IT and the software world for a long time get the feeling every now and then that they're surprised anything ever works at all. It is somewhat amazing what can be produced and rendered on a computer when physics and hardware instruction align.

Since I already own it from years ago, might be time for another try!

I wonder if group chats will work. I have a few on my desktop that I cannot access from my phone. Very lame!

Remote downloads are nifty. Playstation and Switch have had that ability for ages now.

Minigalaxy, a simple open source GOG client for Linux adds lots of new features

Quoting: JahimselfExactly the kind of launcher I would like gog galaxy to be. Even on windows I never used that software.
It would be perfect if it could use the cloud for savegames.
Time to thumbs-up this issue and perhaps start a bounty! :)

Intel announce their NUC 12 Enthusiast Mini PC and Kit with Arc graphics

It's neat, but what is the point? It's like a laptop with no KVM. I can see it as a small server (64 GB of RAM) that you don't want taking up much of a footprint, but then why the discrete GPU? Is it easy to find "mobile" Intel processors so you can upgrade down the road? If not, then I'd rather have a laptop I think.

Splitgate development is over, as the devs move onto their next game

Quoting: 14I like Splitgate. The reason I seldom play isn't because it's not good, it's because I am simply not into competitive shooters so much these days. Insurgency: Sandstorm and Deep Rock Galactic get my play time WAY more often because shooting AI is more fun to me (probably because more predictable, aka less stressful). I have gotten MVP many times in Splitgate, so it's not that I suck. It's more taxing and stressful.
Yeah, I also found it more stressful. The maps weren't always the best, either. There's a lot of potential there to build upon and make it flow way better. The Linux port weren't the best, though. Sometimes the colours would just be replaced with this weird rainbow flicker, and the menu often felt unresponsive to the mouse.
I also had to turn off my wing monitor to prevent my mouse from sometimes clicking outside the game and minimizing it! That has killed me multiple times. Turning off my monitor is an annoying prep step.

I don't think I can pass up this cute game... once it releases.

Get the Dungeons trilogy in this new bundle ahead of Dungeons 4

Quoting: furaxhornyxI haven't tried Dungeons 3 yet, but I think it has a coop campaign ? That would be nice to try
It certainly does! I like being able to split responsibility and have one person build the dungeon and the other does the fights on the top-world. That's how I do it anyway. The game let's you do whatever you want. You and your friend decide how you're going to cooperate and not step on each other's toes. I really like the game.
