Medieval siege engine builder 'Besiege' leaving Early Access on Feb 18 - price to rise

I thought I already owned this game but I guess not. Perhaps there was a demo or a free weekend a long while back. I remember deciding that I'd wait for it to get more fleshed out. Sounds like that time has come! GOG, here I come.

It's been a while since I've played Dota. Maybe it's time to try it out again. What pushed me away last time was players expecting me to play better than I am. Dota is not my life, so no I can't play as if it was.

Wow, that looks more entertaining than it should.

RPG and Visual Novel mix 'Planet Stronghold 2' enters full Beta and looks great

From the videos on Steam, I can't tell what the combat is like. If it's JRPG style, then I'm not sure it's for me. Other than that, it sounds very intriguing. I think I'll check out the beta. Edit: Nevermind. It's $25 to buy it during development.

There was a Mario game like this, I believe for the 3DS. Was it Paper Mario? Super Mario Galaxy on the Switch has a few 2D sections.

I'll have to give this game's demo a try. The kids might like it. I like the screenshot with all the arrows because my youngest would have more fun with that direction included.

Lotus Reverie - a Visual Novel with a slice of turn-based strategy and a game of survival

It does sound more interesting than usual. I don't know if I could sit at my desktop and go through a visual novel. Maybe I could if I turned off my secondary monitor.

I'm tempted for Pathfinder... and Frostpunk apparently runs great with Proton.

I just might have to pick this up. The over-the-top-ness is pretty comical.

A few months after entering Early Access, Daedalic put their RTS 'A Year Of Rain' on hold

I had Rise of Nations as well. I bought it for the hype. If I remember correctly, it never made it out of the shrink wrap. See, I started out with RTS on PC. (I was truly a console kid first.) It was Red Alert that made me a PC gamer instead of console only. From there, it was Age of Empires II and then Empire Earth, C&C: Generals, Battle for Middle Earth, Warcraft 3, a little bit of Starcraft (wasn't a big fan). I eventually focused on shooters and lost interest in RTS. Perhaps it was for the reasons eldaking brings up. I have surprisingly not contemplated it. But it was always comp stomps for me. I had no interest in an RTS campaign. The only one I played was Starcraft II, and that was very worthwhile.

I've lately been itching a lot to buy and play Northgard. It looks more like the pace of an RTS of old rather than a cut-throat game like SC2.
