If you buy from their website, I understand you will get an account like Minecraft. What happens when you buy from itch.io or Humble [External Link]?
Maybe said account isn't required all the time.

Maybe said account isn't required all the time.
Includes the following(emphasis mine)
A game account, which is required to start the game and to connect to most multiplayer servers.
A digital download of the game that is yours forever
Free updates forever
The forum title "Vintarian" and access to a vintarian only forum area may be redemed at a later time.

Quoting: tmtvl*sigh* The state of Linux gaming...Steam is not really DRM. It's up to the publisher to use Steam DRM or not. Take Stardew Valley for instance. You can launch the game without logging into Steam.
GOG is DRM free, but doesn't support Linux with its client.
Steam heavily supports Linux, but are very DRM... though not as much as Stadia.
Itch is wonderful, but is very lacking in many different genres.
Oh well, it's the dawn of a new decade, who knows what the 2020's will bring.

Fix stuttering mouse cursor issue during longer play sessions.Hahahaha! Yes! I just experienced this for the first time (I think) last night in Dungeon Defenders! It makes me really happy to see a fix so soon after I experienced it.

We're all so cynical here. My grain of salt is maybe they want their Github issues and pull requests to get more attention because they're users of the product. Even if that's true, I wouldn't call that evil. That's just like paying for software support and development. And it doesn't stop other people from working on the project.
I'm just gonna call this sweet.
EDIT: Oh, and if you come from Photoshop and don't like the GIMP interface, Krita is what you should try.

I have more general questions. Is the game just constant chaos? Are there "instances" of battles that have a beginning and end (skirmishes)? Commanders? Just wondering what you fight for. Is it one big world like EVE Online and you fight for territory and keep it until someone conquers you? Many servers?

By the way, you could own Ghost Recon "forever" on PS4 disc (and resell later) for $16 the other day.
That said, if anyone tries it out on Stadia, I'd be pretty curious. ;)

This is one of the games I'm most excited for, although it looks a faster pace than I thought early on. It looks closer to Diablo games than I was thinking. I hope you can't get to a point where you just move a spinning disc (your player) all across the screen and smear the enemies away with no challenge, non-stop.
I also feel weary about 115 skill trees?! I am already really slow at creating characters. I've taken an hour before when a game has tons of options. I will have to promise my friends that I pre-create my character before we play Last Epoch together! I am hoping the tree is fairly linear once you start down a path and don't have to choose too much to get started.
Even though this is one of my most anticipated games, I have plenty to eat up my time already and am totally willing to wait for a more complete game.

Space Haven just might earn my money by releasing earlier than Starmancer. I'm really more eager to play Starmancer and I think I heard of it first, but Space Haven looks similar and will be out soon. Starmancer seems like they don't know a release date still.
