I was in talks to Star Labs sales and they commented me about this option, happy to see it so quickly in the market. I'm in search of a laptop, and for the price this might be the best option so far!
System76 announce their 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen powered Serval WS laptop

Calling that monstruosity portable or even laptop (Whose gonna put that heavy heater on its lap?) it sure is a game of irony :D
Glad to see an AMD CPU on it though. As many have stated, an nvidia gpu makes it less of an option as well. In any case, I hope it sells well enough so System 76 can continue adding AMD in their products.

I got the game, installed it once, and then left it. I shouldn't even have bought it in the first place.
Linux Mint votes no on Snap packages, APT to block snapd installs

I am, in general, fairly neutral with snap. I don't quite like having to use a different package managers to install certain things, nor canonical ubiquitous control over it, but like @Tuxee mentioned above, for some things, namely commercial hardware, is just very handy and convenient (at time of writing bitwarden cli, digitalocean cli, intellij and postman)

Great move. If they expand the support to other thinkpad models will be even bigger news. However, I believe we should still support companies like tuxedo, purism or system 76 instead. For the same reason that we should buy our groceries from the local shop :)

Quoting: MohandevirSaw that but will still require having an external SSD connected via USB to it (just nit-picking here haha)Quoting: ArehandoroI wish they look into including some m.2 SSD out of the box and deprecate the sd card. Also wish had the money to do a cluster with several of them :DNot an nvme but this is at least better than an SD card:

In that same page, at the very beginning, they also say :
"The game's plan is to be released on Steam (PC/Mac), Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Xbox One."
With the addition to Linux in the later paragraph Liam mentions in the article.
I actually backed the game yesterday, but seeing Linux might be and after thought, not being 100% clear on the kickstarter page and considering my past experiences, I decided to go for the physical copy on Nintendo Switch instead.

Great for AMD. Considering the process to update will require CPU purchase verification, I'd like to see a graph in the future with how many actually end up updating to Zen 3 without updating MoBo after so much racket the last days...
