Hmm . . . we've seen articles about the risks of Kickstarter projects, but how about an article on how to successfully get a refund from said projects? I've seen a couple of good examples on this thread already.

Quoting: jnriversSo tired of the Vulkan hype train. If games don't get ported properly and continue to use D3D wrappers nothing is going to change. Wake up OpenGL isn't the problem, it's a scapegoat for ignorance. Vulkan is not a magic bullet that suddenly makes gaming on Linux what it should be.The problem with your statement is that at this point we've only seen DX9/DX11 -> OGL wrappers. When Feral releases their first DX12 -> Vulkan wrapped game, then we can finally see if the hype is real or not.
Don't get me wrong Vulkan is the future, it's just not adding anything that wasn't already there.
It's amazing the traction this has gotten.

In an ideal world developers would be using Vulkan instead of DX12, but even if developers choose DX12 the porting process from DX12 -> Vulkan will be much easier than DX9/DX11 -> OGL. Plus instead of seeing something like 70% the performance compared to Windows, it'll be much closer if not equal the performance.

I usually buy anything Feral, but games like these absolutely need cross platform multiplayer. So will wait and see.

since ppl from Feral sometimes comment here at GOL
@Feral
TopWare has been releasing a lot of their older games using wine and after browsing Steam and seeing all the older Final Fantasy games it made me wonder if something similar would be possible since you guys at Feral have a pretty solid relationship with Square-Enix? :)

Agreed, at first I thought it was a typing game, but after watching the video it's actually a really cool/interesting 2d platformer.

Quoting: CreakI actually have given it a shot, but isn't rpmfusion/copr sorta the same as Ubuntu's ppas? I'm kinda tryin to get away from that, plus even though I like the idea of using Wayland + Gnome by default it lowers fps on games :(Quoting: chimpyMan all this talk of switching to Arch, now I'm tempted to give it another shot :)Give a shot at Fedora, it's the future!
I tried a lot of distros for the past 10 years (from Debian to Arch), but at my surprise, I tried Fedora a year ago and I think it's one of the best so far.
