Have you enabled beta build for Linux in the properties tag? That gave me a bit more performance.

Just curious; you used a lot of open source software to make the game but used Unity as the game engine; were the other open source game engines like Godot not up to scratch? Is it a personal preference? Or is it a bit of both?

I'm assuming there is no cross play between platforms just like the other War Hammer and Company of Heroes. This makes my decision to buy or not a lot tougher.

Mesa has now hit full OpenGL 4.4 support for AMD radeonsi and Intel

If you look at the bottom, Mesa is still missing a fair amount of extensions not related to any particular version of OpenGL, so still plenty of work to be done.
Yes there are still a lot of missing extensions, but I really doubt any of them will be relevant to future gaming.
