I bought this two days ago, it seems quite addicting 🤪

Quick question to others who play this. What graphics API do you use? I run with an Nvidia card if that makes a difference.

I will try this with Morrowind on my Steam Deck tonight!

Controller support for Path of Exile leaving Beta, should work great on Steam Deck

It's quite amazing how the Steam Deck has, in such a short time, changed so many things. I'm pretty sure controller support would have taken quite a bit longer to be implemented into Path of Exile if it wasn't for the Steam Deck arriving.

For several leagues I have been playing the game with the Steam Controller, streaming the game to my TV with a Raspberry Pi and the Steam Link app. I'm looking forward to playing the new Sentinel league on my Steam Deck =)

I really like Path of Exile, it's a great game! I've been playing probably over 10 hours with the Steam Controller, it works decently. I've also played many 100s of hours with keyboard and mouse over the years.

I have high hopes for their controller and Steam Deck support. Hopefully things will be better optimized control wise. I remember joystick mode on Steam Controller was working nicely for movement, but not great for movement skills.

I'm really looking forward to you video on this! With risk of repeating myself, you're doing a great job on covering everything Steam Deck! <3

Great job on the Steam Deck coverage man! Even though I don't have time to watch all the videos, I really appreciate you taking the time to make them.

The release article you wrote was exceptionally good, I could literally not stop reading.

I'm looking forwards to when you receive your 512GB model and when you do I wish for a screen comparison.

Enjoy the influx of new readers of GOL and remember to take care of yourself in between all the work.

I'm running an AMD card with Mesa and the character selection screen is missing all the textures from what I can tell. In-game everything seems to work perfectly though :)

I'm so excited, I just want to reserve the top tier immediately!

I realized noone is talking about the weight, 669 grams. I looked up the weight of the regular Nintendo Switch, it's 400 grams with the joy cons attached. I haven't tried out the Switch myself, but I know some people complain about the weight of it.

I don't know if it's a silly concern or if it's a deal breaker? What do you guys think?

Funny you write about this now. My dad came by with the original CD just a few days ago, said he found it while going through some old stuff laying around in his house. I might have to give this a try some day =)

The original is my favourite game from my childhood. I played it slot over the years. Me and my brother played it for Christmas, every Christmas for many years.

I've played this FOSS version for many many hours too, so happy it exists.

I hope bringing it to Steam will give the opportunity for new players to experience it.
