I'm interested in a key. Was coding a multiplayer top-down game for fun and will gladly see how's their lag compensation working. Mine sucked.

Quoting: gabber[...] if you bump into something it takes forever to get back on track. You're faster back on track if you fall of the building! There's a button to reset you back on the road.

Hopefully they fix Linux version soon because I want to try out that new physics, old one was really bad. And pick-ups? TBH I wish there was an option to disable them entirely.
The amount of Linux users on Steam has increased when going by daily active users

The only way to get even remotely close to true values is to make an awesome Linux exclusive game, release it on Steam for free and watch the install / users playing numbers. It has to be new and fresh to benefit on the usual hype Windows titles get. It has to be ranked overwhelmingly positive to really lure people. It has to be free to avoid restricting anyone from trying it out. It has to be through Steam to count real users without actually being a spyware and relevant to all of those discussions we're having here so often. I refuse to speculate on the subject (or read further speculations) before that.
It means I might never again allow myself to talk about Linux market share on Steam. I'm surprisingly okay with that.

Quoting: scaineI do like how Rust looks. Just a shame it's mainly PVP... just not my thing.This. Also, the monthly reset... I could try to hide from grievers and probably could have some fun with it but I have time to play once or twice a month. There's not much fun in starting from scratch each time.
The Steam Linux market share for June was 0.52% as Steam is still growing rather rapidly

Ok, just in case because people at work asked what I'm talking about and maybe people here have the same false understanding of what statistics are.
Yes, "percentage over time" can be a measure of growth of a given value (either positive or negative). But this is only true when 100% constantly represents the same value over the whole measured period, i.e. when there are no other variables to consider. If 100% is a different number at each point in time the measurement is taken, it's no longer a statistical measurement of growth. It does describe the current situation but it says nothing about the future or the past.
It is a bad news to us because it does show whatever Valve is doing isn't as effective for Linux as it is for Windows or even MacOS. But it doesn't mean Linux market share is not growing. It doesn't share of it's shrinking either. It shows exactly nothing about it.

Survival horror 'Prototype Mansion - Used No Cover' sounds like an amusing retro throwback

Reminds me of Alone in the Dark series (1992).

Quoting: muell>[...] Can you all just stop that bullshit? All the data suggests that there is no growth. This is nothing where your believes are somehow relevant. Linux gaming doesn't grow whereas other platforms do. That's bad news. Stop trying to spin it any other way.Where there's lack of data, believes are everything. Your bullshit against mine.
