Quoting: aejsmithProbably right since it's a newer game, however, it was specifically mentioned that transform feedback was implemented for projects such as DXVK AND porters.Quoting: MasterSleortWonder if Feral will make use of stream-output / transform feedback on Vulkan?Never needed it.

I can't wait, but I can, because I've already waited for so long - and I'm sure a couple of extra months is worth the wait. Go Feral. Will buy this for me and my brother provided it works well on Vega 64 and Fury X, which I am sure of.

Quoting: KimyrielleThey should have delayed the Windows version by half a year. I guess that would have doubled our market share right there. :DLittle off topic, but I have had the thought that they are keeping HL3 hostage. I think they have a very well planned concept of it and how they want it to be, albeit it may evolve constantly. I think HL3 could be the card they will pull out, if MS decides to lock down Windows and only allow apps through their own store. Valve could use this as a way of damage control, by only releasing HL3 for Linux and possibly MacOS, as I am certain people would switch OS the same day it was released.

Quoting: lucinos... since I don't believe in "forcing" people, but instead encouraging people.Quoting: KimyrielleThey should have delayed the Windows version by half a year. Whoever gets this can play the game for free but only on linux. If he wants to play on windows/mac or does not get that in the limited time of the offer he has then to buy the game. What do you think of that idea? If I were Valve I would do that to help linux market share, not the exclusivity thing.

Fantastic game. Very similar to the Hotline Miami games, just spiced with dystopian blade runner atmosphere and environment.
It was to good, that I stopped playing it, because I had a sound issue when playing the cutscenes. Here the audio appears to be missing and only few sound effects and background music is heard. I hope they have fixed this bug with the release.
It'll be interesting to see the performance now. I was playing it with 40 - 60fps@4K with mesa 18 and Vega 64 last week on maximum settings. Definitely playable, but if performance has increased as much as Liam says, I can't wait to start it again!

The Linux beta of Arma 3 has been updated to 1.80, compatible with Windows again for a time

My only complaint is that ArmA 3 doesn't use Steam cloud, so I have had to complete some missions a couple of times, since I often forget to backup the saves myself.
Other than that I would say that the game is very good, and if it is true as jaycee says

Quoting: riusmaDoes the game have a "solo campaign" that make it worth its price? Would love to give it a try in multi but I'm afraid I will never have the time at the right moment for that... :(Yes, and I really like the way it works. Everything you find throughout the missions, you can bring back to the base and use in future missions. The main campaign of course has a goal, but many missions you choose by yourself, which order you want to complete them in.

Quoting: GuestBI are collecting statistics on which platform the game is being run on, independently of Steam's sales figures. They will know if you are using the game on Linux so in this sense it counts as a Linux sale.then BI can see that at least one more is playing the game on Linux ;)

Hope Feral or they themselves make it on Linux!
About the franchise first, what about multiplayer agents/hitmen. Missions where multiple targets has to be eliminated simultaneously or mssions against each other, where the one to eliminate the target wins. In such a scenario players would be able to kill each other, but also hide from each other by using disguises and so on... I don't know, just a thought.
Anyways, as said, I hope to see it on Linux as well. Preferably same day release or very close to same day release, to we get some more Elusive Targets
Edit: I also hope to see a return to St. Petersburg

I think Intel had no choice, but to choose either nVidia or AMD as graphics partner. Intel could very likely and easily create their own GPU architecture to compete with nVidia and AMD. However, I think Intel was restricted by all the patents owned by nVidia and AMD, making it nearly impossible to create a viable alternative the GPU architectures they design.
Actually, the fact that it says "semi-custom" makes me think, that AMD gave and leased their design in a way that doesn't infringe the patents that AMD has.
Nevertheless, I think it is a very interesting development, although, for my next laptop I will strive to get one with a Ryzen APU.
EDIT: to me the EMIB sounds just like the Infinity Fabric that AMD uses with their Ryzen CPU's, but with a different name, which just backs the patent theory.

Quoting: ArdjeHmmm, still can't buy it on steamos... It gives this nice "An error occured" when I try to go to the product page. At least it means the site is probably sharding, as all other games are buyable.I have SteamOS as well, but haven't checked whether I could buy the game there. You could buy it from ferals store and then activate the key on SteamOS. That way Steam also doesn't take its share from the price, and therefore more money goes into Ferals pockets ;)

Really nice port. I am able to play on high settings at 4k res with 60fps on my Fury X.
Does Fanatec also work on Linux? The setting for Fanatec LED is available, but I am unsure whether it actually has a function on Linux. I have been considering buying a Fanatec setup and I am interested in whether it works on Linux. From what I have seen, it looks as if it simply acts as a standard HID, but if anyone knows I'd like to hear about it.
