I found it amusing that the three intro screens for the new configuration tool demonstrate using a Steam Deck. It made my Steam controller jealous that it didn't have its own screen.

How's adding Kisak's (Stable) Mesa PPA in any way difficult on Ubuntu and derivates?

What about for non-Ubuntu and derivatives?

Consider that it may be a widespread notion because it is true (I don't know). Average users may find it difficult either way, either because they don't know how or they don't know what they don't know.

Maybe I should give it another look. I last played it in 2020 and didn't get very far. The crafting and material gathering was just dreadful compared so something like Subnautica. And the combat was meh at best. This video makes it look like almost a completely different game.

The case looks pretty but makes me really wonder how it gets any air into it at all. Maybe from the lower side panels. Oh, and no doors. The whole top appears to slide upwards. The accept panel seems cool though.

I suppose at least some of the parts are replaceable but I don't know what the purpose of scratching everywhere was. It's obviously all the same material (e.g. he could have just scored the back and made his point). Knowing that the buttons won't wear out and that some are covered with stickers is actually useful information, but defacing it and making instant e-waste seemed pointless.

The NVIDIA driver requirement I think only applies to DX12 games and it's because vkd3d-proton now requires the VK_KHR_maintenance4 extension which was added in the 510.47.03 driver.
