I think it looks nice. I'm a bit partial to the red and pink ones. I think it would go well with my furniture (splash off color can't hurt)

I had to look..
In 2016, the MSRP of a 1080TI, was $499 (that was harder to find than I thought it would be, so I may be a bit off). In 2022, that would be about $615-$620.

I'm pretty sure my last build cost as much as a 4090... And I'm relatively sure it can still run anything released now or for the next few years, lol.

Side now, how would you cool that? I have enough trouble keeping my 1070Ti cool in my little itx case....

Yeah, at least in my town, I kinda think they used CBD as a bit of a rebranding thing. Downtown had a negative connotation as I guess in the 70's and 80's it was blighted. I remember when I moved here, some people were surprised I lived downtown and I regularly ran into older people that would refuse to go downtown.

Quoting: voxI can't get out of my head the sad story of Star Ruler 2 developers. It was not an easy game to jump into, because they innovated on the 4x/grand strategy formula and made a bunch of systems and game mechanics that were never seen in this genre as far as I know. And once it clicked, it was (and still is) the best game that I've played in this genre.
wishlisted this, I like the genre and it looks like a lot of fun.
No need to wishlist it. It's free and OpenSource (I think the assets might be closed, but are freely available with the Open source download). It includes the DLC. Pretty sure the GitHub link is pinned on the Steam forum.

Edit, here you go: https://github.com/BlindMindStudios/StarRuler2-Source [External Link]

Builds just fine for me and is genuinely a really good game. It definitely experimented with some new ideas, which I think turned out pretty good.

Agreed. The reviews are a guideline of what most people like. We have things like actual real reviews from the press, let's plays, streams, etc, to make our own decisions.

If you're not puting any critical thought into the Steam review within the context of the game and it's target audience, I'm sorry, that's your fault, not Valve's. A decent niche game targeting a niche audience is probably going to have a higher score than a decent niche game targeting a general audience, for example. It's no different than press reviews. I don't think it will shock anyone that a strategy gaming site might review a rough, but good strategy game differently than a main stream site.

Either way, I'm glad you like the game. As a privateer fan, I'm gonna check it out based on your recommendation.

Ps... I would be really interested in an article about the abuse of the review system. I'd think a larger issue would be the "bored player", trolling, brigades, like you mentioned. I'm curious how much different devs fret about it and how it effects their choices.

Central Business District, I presume. That's what some places refer to as their downtowns.

Within my town's CBD is one of these pedestrian areas, a DORA (designated outdoor recreation area). It's part time. Pedestrian on the weekends (for tourism), but open to traffic during the week (for normal business).

The Wandering Village is absolutely mesmerizing

On the spectrum of say Stardew Valley to RimWorld, one being more about managing relationships and the later being more into the simulation side of a whole colony, where would you put The Wandering Village?

Mostly asking as my partner prefers the former (Stardew valley, spirit Farer, etc). I get the impression it's more colony management for the village with managing a relationship with Onbu or am I off mark?

What a nice piece of software! I would love a libadwaita version of it 🤣

(I was thinking, I never saw a progress bar on it)
And for on the go, a mobile app would be nice too!

Very nice!
The VC in particular. New too me. It's interesting to see a funding company that appears to be dedicated to open source companies. I can see a lot of benefits to having financial and business support that understand and had experience working with open source. Hopefully it works out well.
