Dead Cells, probably one of the best Linux games this year is now out

Quoting: riddleyFun game! Got it based on the suggestion here. My only problem was that I couldn't figure out how to exit! I googled and all of the results suggested Esc then Q but that didn't work. Have they fixed that?
That problem was is introduced in the last release before yesterday. No idea if they fixed something yesterday though.

The thing is, the menu options still exist in equipment screen, but they drop off the right of the screen. For me it showed only three of the five options where option 4&5 (restart and quit) are invisible but selectable.

Gave it a try last night. A very short try because the key bindings couldn't be changed (yes, I did change them in the launcher) and I couldn't actually move properly.

I just realised. I need more practice! Tomorrow I'll have to play this again. :D

Football Manager 2019 announced and sadly it's not coming to Linux

This may be one of those games where the target audience and the Linux audience have a very small overlap. I don't think I've met many Linux gamers that have the slightest interest in Football. If they were anywhere close to that 1% share, then the whole financial thing would never be an issue.

Been playing it more recently. The gameplay is brilliant. Had my best run ever last night and after all those upgrades I thought I was invincible. Then I met the boss on the Black Bridge. I thought I had him too. Until he entered the last phase. Ouch. :D

Variety in environments looks nice, but the video fails to impress on gameplay mechanics. Still a long way to go though. With a target of end 2020 I wouldn't expect it until at least 2021.

A bit weird to put a "digital manual" one tier higher than the actual game.

Note that there are quite a few "Free weekend" games on Steam for those that want to experiment but don't have Windows games.

I still want something similar to the Powerslide [External Link] racer from 20 year ago. That game had an awesome feel to it. This game looks somewhat in that direction although the tracks aren't quite as crazy.

This could make a change from dying in Dead Cells. Want!

Quoting: AppelsinI assume you have to buy cardpacks. Until they say otherwise, I also assume they'll use the Hearthstone business model, where you have to spend a load of money on gamble packs in order not to be steamrolled, and with each "expansion" they make all your old cards practically worthless. Pass.
Except for the last bit, that has pretty much been confirmed.
