I ran it for some time a good while back. Too many issues with compositor with only good old "compiz" really doing everything I needed it to do. But that too degraded over time until I just had to leave it. It always felt like they did not just stick to traditional desktop paradigms, but stuck with old tech as well. How is it doing with Wayland?

Quoting: pbHaving something hand made doesn't automatically make it good of course. But yeah, the scenes look boring and inconsistent.Quoting: whizseI don't know what is worse, if that turns out to be a lie or the truth. ;pQuoting: pbThe artwork looks suspiciously sloppy, especially the backgrounds...From the Kickstarter page "Everything is hand made, with no AI used in any part of the process".

I hope they have a 4 pack with a decent rebate at launch so I don't have to pay full price for the whole family. As far as I remember Valve blocked the creation of multi-packs a good while ago. Something about have games in inventories leading to trading from regions with low regional pricing.

I'm sure these devs will slap denuvo over it, so I'll just assume it'll be no-go.

Looking pretty good on casual inspection. Question will always be if the writing can back it up and these days I need to worry about whether I can actually run it in an acceptable manner.

Quoting: GuestNvidia didn't start supporting Adaptive Sync until 2019, so it's unlikely but you could try it easily enough by disabling G-Sync (assuming your monitor's OSD gives you the option). It does not.

Quoting: MayeulCQuoting: EhvisIt didn't help that my current monitor is g-sync and that switching colours meant I'd have to go Freesync and get a new monitor as well. Just didn't feel like researching that. What monitor do you have? I do know of any monitor that supports G-Sync but not Freesync (or adaptative sync).
Quoting: MayeulCAsus ROG PG348. One with an actual nvidia board. If it supports Freesync/Vesa adaptive sync, it isn't mentioned.Quoting: EhvisIt didn't help that my current monitor is g-sync and that switching colours meant I'd have to go Freesync and get a new monitor as well. This CPU though, a little above my TDP interests.

Quoting: scaineIt wouldn't even need 5090-like speeds! Who's gonna pay over 2 grand for one of those?? It just needs to be a decent upgrade on their current "flagship" model, which barely competes with the 5070.Similar for me. I intended to do an upgrade last year, but when the current AMD gen skipped a high end model, I left it to wait for another generation. Knowing what I know now, that may not have been the best choice.

Still, doesn't really make a lot of sense why they're delisting it when thinking on it. No special vehicle licenses, no track licenses needed and no online features to keep funding - why is it being just removed? Sometimes the industry just doesn't make sense.Weird indeed. The best I can imagine is that it's removing competition for the second Epic-only game.

Quoting: dimkoI wonder how much performance is shit to do with the fact that all environment but traders is completely destructible?Probably most of it. It is extremely hard to do decent optimisation when everything it the world can change. I've played since A16 and both performance and visuals have gone up since then, so they've done a decent bit of work. But yeah, it will never be like something that renders a static world.
