Still no info on game pricing though. I'm curious to see what they think the value is of a game that is so tied to their service that there is no hope for recovery if Google calls it quits.

I suspect the "quality" is about something more than just performance. Because UE4 running slower on Mac and Linux is not exactly a surprise.
Valve has an Armistice Sale and Singles Day sale on Steam with some good Linux games cheap

I'll plug the first two on the list because they're short and light games for when you don't need a challenge.
Back to Bed is a nice puzzle concept. I played both the normal and hard mode (where you need to pick up keys in addition to getting the guy back to his bed) all the way through in 3.5 hours. Pretty easy but a nice bit of fun for the current price.
AER is a nice exploration game. Basically just walking/flying around to find the story of the world. Some minor puzzle stuff, but nothing head breaking. I found it a nice chilled experience. Took me just under 6 hours to explore everything.
Is there any difference in content/rendering between DX11 and DX12 version? Since the port was mentioned to be based on the latter.

Quoting: ArdjeI've noticed on my proton adventures that DXVK+DX11 is way better than native vulkan on some of these engines.

It's also not really 78% because that is calculated without taking the DE bundle discount into account. But 60% is still nice of course. And yeah, that's the disadvantage of releasing after a year. Still, Feral has released titles straight into a 50% discount before (DXMD iirc, which fairly quickly after the Win release)

But now we want it! You know what you have to do. Make a game with the achievement and publish it on Steam. :D
Also congrats to Valve for the actual achievement. After (almost) 7 years I still have no regrets for the number that it shows on my external funds page. They've done well.

Haven't played it much since the Steam Cloud ate my profile, but it's great if you like that sort of game. It does have a few issues with the way its economy is designed (it's all chained together and can prone to occasional collapse), but nothing that prevented me from having fun with it.

Quoting: theghostDid someone played the first one recently and can you recommend it?

Another big SteamVR update is out now, with plenty of Linux fixes for VR enthusiasts

Does this actually work for anybody on Linux? It sure doesn't for me. Also, the volume setting in the SteamVR overlay doesn't work for me when I manually switch the audio over.
Overall the experience seems a bit smoother. Still vsync issues with gsync enabled (on the main monitor) and reprojection is still a mess for me.
All in all this beta sequence has been messy. A lot of temporary were introduced that had to be fixed in the next release. The ghost windows being least bad. Having the actual VR overlay corrupted was particularly bad. I hope they'll be a little more careful going forward.

QuoteBy default, SteamVR will now select the correct audio input and output devices that actually belong to the active VR HMD.

Not much difference in the benchmarks between medium and highest.
Although it doesn't matter for this game, I find it interesting that Feral used DX12 as a base for this port. Which means they developed new tech for this one. That should calm some nerves of those wondering what Feral has planned for the future.
