Actually, I've had their games for some time now, and I've still chipped in a few greenbacks to go toward the source goal. Well, technically I'm getting the Ultratron soundtrack which I didn't have before, so I suppose I'm donating for that as well :)

Wow, sort of like Fez meets Voxatron in an anime... I've never seen something quite like this before. I'm liking the art-style and animation quality. Feels like a Japanese game from what I've seen & heard, so far.
Regarding "2.75D", the term doesn't feel quite right to me, but heck, I can't think of an alternate that fits better, so yeah, I agree. Let's go with that :-)

Excellent news. Eschalon is one of the few series in which I have yet to successfully complete a campaign (neither book I nor II!), yet the number of hours of gameplay spent already justifies the price paid for them... :O Definitely very niche, but they know their niche very well!

3079 Block Action RPG Now On Steam

Got the game (and Gentrieve 2, actually) by backing phr00t on Kickstarter for his 3089 campaign. I'll echo Liam's statement; it was just too weird for me to get into. To an extent, I see what he's trying to do, and I feel that there's a great deal of depth beyond the presentation, which, as phr00t himself admits, is rudimentary in some ways.
That's one reason why he built a smooth-voxel engine for 3089, he wasn't entirely satisfied with the cube voxels, graphically, but felt that he could make a pretty good game anyway. There are free demos for both on Desura, on all the supported platforms, so I encourage every interested party to go get those demos and see if it's their cup of tea.
Personally, even 3089 is weird as hell, haha :) I'm still glad to have supported him, though. I hope that his success with Greenlight, Kickstarter, and the more "accessible" 3089 eventually leads to higher production quality in his visual assets. Maybe 3099 will be the one to finally crack s_d, who knows!
