Quoting: shadow1w2Glitch wise, how bout the battery levels?Hmm, a bad battery cell, perhaps? The Macbook I had for my PhD started doing something similar after a few years: it reported full battery capacity, but would randomly shut off if the battery got down below ~40% or so. From something I read that was suggested as the reason. Basically the battery thinks it's alright but doesn't have the capacity it thinks it does.
Mine still randomly shuts off at 30% or more and requires retraining, especially if I let it idle in sleep for too long like a day.
Maybe I just need to clean install my os and start fresh.
Battery itself is still operating at full or near full capacity it's just irritating.
Gyro and overall analog configurations wise, I'd like to see more advanced control options.
A lot of these modes dont match what I want and I'd like to set it up raw one to one input sometimes.
For a game that aims where you hold for example or flight games.
Also I might be the only one who wants to tie two flight sticks into one virtual pad.
If only there was a plugin system for crazy stuff.

Quoting: JarmerI guess it didn't trigger me as bad as it did you, but I totally agree. It was off-putting every single time Dave was insulted about his appearance, or skills, or any of the myriad of other things they insult him for. I agree, every now and then that's fine, but oof, dude's just getting hammered on constantly. I quit playing for other reasons, but maybe if I pick it back up, they can make life a little better for ol Dave?Hmm, does it have mods? The gameplay does look pretty fun, maybe I just need a small "NPCs aren't all jerks" mod.

I tried the Earthless demo, which is fairly similar to Slay the Spire except that combat takes place on a 2D grid. Oh, and you're piloting a spaceship fleeing Earth running into aliens, salvage opportunities, etc.. You can remove cards from your deck every so many jumps, and occasionally find upgrades that can be applied to them (in my case, I found an upgrade that added +1 to the range of an attack it was applied to). It's a little bare-bones at the moment (it mentions releasing in Early Access next year), and the tutorial doesn't explain everything (though if you're familiar with StS it should be pretty easy to figure out), but it's interesting enough for me to keep following.
Valve dropped Counter-Strike 2 support on macOS and older hardware

Also, I don't understand the comparison; websites went to ridiculous lengths to support Internet Explorer as long as it was around, precisely because "everybody" used it. If Mac software achieved the usage statistics that IE did, people would be supporting it per force.

Quoting: devlandMacOS, iOS & Safari are the modern equivalent for Internet Explorer 6.Everybody? 🤨 In the US, iOS is used by around half the population of smartphone-havers. In every other country, that ratio is skewed more towards Android – it's about 70% usage share [External Link] worldwide. Safari's holding steady at about 20% of browser traffic [External Link]. I don't know the usage of MacOS more generally – certainly there are some industries where it's more widely used* – but general experience and vibes suggest Windows still makes up the majority of corporate computer OSs.
"Everybody" uses them yet nobody wants to support them.

I've been watching people play this, and can see why it's so popular…but man, I feel like a better title would be "Dave the doormat". The first thing that happens is Dave getting called back early from his vacation, talked into working without pay for a friend, and practically every single person that appears either insults Dave for being rotund, assumes his help without payment (until pressed on the point), and pretty much just walks all over him. I'm highly conflict-averse in real life and generally quite happy to help people (especially rather than make a scene), and even I got to the point where I was like "Stand up for yourself for once, Dave! (Politely) tell Ellie that she can gather her own research data until she apologizes for the first words out of her mouth being to insult a stranger she's never met and then assume he'll just roll over and help her immediately afterward!" There's a difference between being nice and helping people, and having some basic human dignity and self-respect.
I get it, having the game insult the player (indirectly) for wanting to play the game and unlock new stuff can be funny…when it's done in moderation, like once or twice. Watching this game, with each new character introduced I starting asking myself "Ooh, let's see, what exciting new way will they find to insult Dave, get him to do what they want anyway, and get away with it with no consequences whatsoever?" I don't know why this triggers me so much, but it clearly does; I just don't get why practically every NPC in the game has to be an unrepentant jerk towards Dave. It wouldn't be hard to sprinkle in a few lines like "Wow, I guess you're a pretty good diver after all! Sorry for judging you based on appearances when we first met."

Unity CEO John Riccitiello is leaving 'effective immediately'

Interesting. When this all first went down and people started protesting it, I wasn't sure how much of an effect it would have, especially when Unity seemed to double down a bit a few days in. Apparently it has had more of an effect than I thought it would, if they not only changed the proposed terms but are firing Riccitiello.
Mind you, I think this is all shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. The investors/board members (whoever has the power here) are spooked and going into damage-control mode, but the reputational damage has been done at this point, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a sea change in developers moving away from Unity in the next few years.

Quoting: soulsourceOne Deck Dungeon really delivers on that promise, btw.Yeah, I picked it up sometime around the middle of last year when I first got my Deck as a nice non-fast-paced game, and I haven't had a single problem with it since then. Good to see it's officially Verified now, at least!
It has been working just fine on the Deck for quite a while now (basically since they made a Switch version), but hadn't been verified yet.

Quoting: preludelinuxjust add all 3. Of course we are talking about Minecraft i'm sure someone has already modded these things in the game already!I've got crabs in my current modded server, and I'm pretty sure I've seen penguins in previous worlds with different modpacks. I'm not sure about armadillos, but I wouldn't be surprised.
