For those of you who braved the update - when you to "update manager" -> view -> kernels ( -> make the warning go away ) is 5.15 on the list yet or is it still capped at 5.13 ?

Maybe just my mind playing tricks on me, but didn't wine prefixes used to be called bottles?

Not sure if it's a 'getting rid of stock' move or just because of the global chip shortage

Quoting: kuhpunktIt's on sale at the moment for 22,22€ https://store.google.com/product/stadia_premiere_edition?hl=de&utm_medium=affiliate_publisher&utm_source=CJ&utm_campaign=GS5347859&utm_content=dr&CJPID=2795768&CJAID=14506529 [External Link]It is however not in stock - at least not here.

Valve answers the question: should developers do native Linux support or Proton?
15 Nov 2021 at 7:35 am UTC
And that pretty spot on, if you don't have the know how or will to maintain the native version for the life time of the game the don't bother and instead invest the time in making sure it runs well in proton.

Quoting: GuestIt's quite a non-committal answer, the sort you get from politicians.I read it as "native is better, but only if your willing to support it".
Judging from investment and effort, it very much looks like Valve prefer "Proton". Just easier for them, makes complete sense. Supposedly however the Deck isn't as closed up as consoles, so it shouldn't matter what Valve want - it should matter what the community wants, what developers want.

Have they automated the hardware survey? I don't think I've had the popup in a couple of years now 🤔

But having said that it clear that the trained professional have never used a ESD strap before, also I suspect his gloves would form an ESD barrier all on their own so it's kind of redundant anyway.

Quoting: TheRiddickSimply discharging by touching the grounded chassi of a computer before you start touching electric components is enough to keep it from happening unless your shuffling your woolen socks on gradma carpet while your doing it, in this case that isn't an option though (so discharge on a nearby doorknob and wait for until your fingers stop being numb ;) ).Quoting: whizse"ESD strap should make skin contact! Oops."Still haven't ESD kill any device I believe in my whole life of electronic bga repairs. I think you need to spend 1hr charging up on carpet first! :)

Quoting: Boldoswell 30% of 0 is 0.. Fortinite is free 2 play, and as far as I know valve doesn't take a piece of IAP or in anyway shape or form try to prevent you from having you own ingame shop.Quoting: nenoroBefore this newsWell, I guess this might have an impact too....

Maybe - as part of all the above said - Epic are also searching for some new "hunting grounds" for their games...?

I know, I know, Valve takes 30% too. But lets not forget that if a game is big enough, they take a smaller percentage...

Minecraft Dungeons arrives on Steam and works well on Linux with Proton GE

Somebody explain to me the various packages though
- base game 19.99€
- Minecraft Dungeons: Ultimativt DLC-bundle 19.99€ ( listed under packages containing this game, but seems to be only dlc minus the base game )
- Minecraft Dungeons Ultimate Edition 39.99€ ( doesn't seem to have it's own page? )
Presumably the 'Ultimate Edition' is the base game + 'Ultimate DLC' - but it's 0.01€ more expensive that hardly matters, but the fact that that its the same price rather than cheaper combined with the fact that there isn't a page separate page or even bundle info for the Ultimate Edition really makes wonder
