The trailer certainly makes the game look intriguing and desirable. The women are intriguing, as well  .
I have had some gripes with Cities in Motion, and I hope that these will be fixed. I had wanted more of a Sim City game than CIM provided, and this looks like the game I want to play.

Still, I'll wait for reviews :S: ...

Looks like a great couch game, with the added bonus of sounds that will annoy the hell out of my wife. :)

Thanks, Liam. This was in my wishlist, and I'm glad I didn't bite yet. The store page shows that the reviews are '~,' which is itself a good reason to stay away.

The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 Officially Released, It's Awesome!

I can remember when point-and-click adventure games were very few and very far between, once LucasArts quit making them; now we have quite a few, and TBoUT is one of the very best. I eagerly look forward to this sequel. :D

Editorial: Linux Gaming Will Be Fine Even Without Steam Machines Succeeding

As Maximum PC showed a year or so ago, one can build one's very own Steam Machine from low-end off-the-shelf parts, which is what the magazine is all about, anyway. Some of the proposed Steam Machines are small form-factor boxes; maybe a MintBox would do the job.

I mean, any Linux PC needs only the Steam Controller to make it a Steam Machine anyway, as it appears to be to me. Now that Streaming Play is working, it does look as though we're already 90% there.

Boy, Liam, are we on the same page, or what? I simply cannot keep up with the new releases on Steam alone; I put some things on my Wishlist, mainly so I can remember the names. ;)

I, two years ago, backed several Kickstarter projects. Wasteland 2 is out, as is Planetary Annihilation. War For The Underworld is still in beta, but looks great and mostly plays very well, and Pillars of Eternity and Torment are soon on the incoming chute. I won't talk about Akaniero :><: ...

And to think that I, a couple years ago, predicted that 2013 would be The Year Of Linux Gaming. I was prematurely anticipatory; 2014 was when the floodgates opened.

And now, you need to get out of the way of the flood. :P

Age of Wonders 2:The Wizard's Throne is on GOG.com and I can attest that the SteamOnLinux script works and the game runs perfectly. Great game itself, too.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown, With The Enemy Within Expansion Reviewed On Linux
13 Feb 2015 at 3:40 pm UTC

:><: Had to rewrite my post....

I am very happy with the Linux port of X-COM, which was the impetus I needed to finally deep-six my annoying, porous, vulnerable Win7 partition. Now, if it isn't available for Linux, I lose interest, no matter how enticing the Steam page makes it look.

The days when I purchased practically every Linux games available are long gone; these days, I've become picky about which games I buy; as much as I suck at shooters, I certainly don't need to buy any more. I am having a lot of fun, however, playing Half-Life 1, even though I suck :dizzy: .

And, THANKS, Feral, for the superb Empire:Total War port. I don't quite suck at RTS games :D .
