I've been hoping for a native Linux version since I saw the excitement and read the reviews. Of course, I do like sandbox games, along with my other gaming preferences :D .

Not the biggest FPS fan in the world, but this does look nice. Besides, you can compile it yourself. They give complete instructions for all distros, too.

Torchlight II Has Even More Positive Signs For Linux

I have played it quite a bit, back when I dual-booted, and I'm eager to have it show up one day in my Steam library; keeps my budget up to buy Linux games.

Quoting: coryrj19951
Quoting: GuestNow that I think of it, it’s true that the latest version of TL available in my Humble library has never worked and they didn’t bother fixing it… Will have to be careful before buying TL2.

TL1 world perfect for me from the Ubuntu Software Center, don't know if that had anything to do with it though. I have never had any of the weird glitches everyone said that they had, like the missing heads etc... Even managed to get some mods working.
When Torchlight hit the Ubuntu Software Center, it sill had the missing head (on the title page, mind you) glitch. Because USC adds a repository for purchased games, it got updated twice, and, on the second update, the game becane 99.999% bug-free. I still play it every month or so, when I'm not busy playing Steam games.

Torchlight II is a lot of fun, with many more game mechanics, and lots of quests, and, if it's a native version (OR if it has as good a wrapper as The Witcher 2 (which has become pretty bulletproof, or at least it has for me)) I'll be having a lot of fun.

I do hope that this won't be the harbinger of many more lousy games for Linux.

Egad! Yet Another Game I bought when I was dual-booting. Maybe I'll buy a copy to gift to a friend, and maybe I won't.

NOT a controller user; you can pry my keyboard and mouse from my cold, dead fingers.:D

Not that I won't look at the Steam controller; it may be just what I do need. Besides, Gabe Newell still needs some Linux love.

Two Worlds II Confirmed For A Linux Release This Month

Reality Pump, whatever its other sins may be, allows only three activations, as I understand it.

GOG, here I come.
