A sort-of-sequel to the very best story-driven RPG ever, Planescape:Torment, is precisely what I have been waiting for, and if it doesn't come out before 2015, it'll still be oh-so-well worth waiting for, and so will Pillars of Eternity.
And if anyone reading this hasn't played Planescape:Torment, I urge you to go to GOG.com and buy it and play it (it runs great under wine, as every Infinity Engine game has, ever since they were new games).
You'll be amazed at the story.
No kidding!

Pillars and Torment will not arrive before January, and...oh, well. If they aren't yet ready, then they're not yet ready. I do have a few games to bide my time with while waiting...The names of games being mentioned are certainly enticing enough, and it looks as though I'll be able to get choosy about which AAA games I want to buy.
And that's a Good Thing.

It is interesting to see this acquisition being made and the comments seen here make a lot of sense. M$ does have deep pockets, but I cannot imagine how they think they can make it back.

Egad! Something I played on my Amiga!
Seriously, I only remember this game's punishing difficulty. But I also remember the good times I had with my Amiga; it was a fun OS to play with. Of course, since Ubuntu 8.04, I have an OS that's fun to play with. And the graphics are a bit better 25 years later.

Well, this is another game I had bought for Windows in my dualbooting days, at least when my Windows installation worked, that is. It'll be good to see it come up in my library. It is a great time sink.

The Bridge is indeed a nifty little "tilt the screen and let gravity work" game, like "And Yet It Moves), only hand-drawn instead of artfully torn paper. Recommended.
And yes, I deleted my Windows partition once X-COM came out. So I had bought a number of Windows games that will likely never have Linux versions. I can still play Skyrim and Oblivion (games that mean a lot to me) on my PlayOnlinux-powered Steam for Windows. So, I made the choice, and still don't regret it.

Yeah, X-COM counted as a Windows sale for me. Of course, when an already-purchased Windows game appears in my library, as X-COM did, you bet I'm going to download it. I could have used my Windows purchase of CIV V, but I chose to purchase it on the day of release, especially with every DLC included for $17, and Aspyr got the $$$.
