I'll definitely jump back in and try this out when it's updated.

This game is pretty neat. I look forward to putting more time into it on my day off.

A new Steam Client Beta is out with reduced CPU use, DPI fixes and more

I just noticed I can finally watch trailers on steam in fullscreen without half the screen artifacting. I've had that issue for a while now. Good stuff!

Edit: Hmmm, wierd. It seems it still does it sometimes. It works the first time I play a trailer in fullscreen, but it does the artifacting every subsequent time after the first. I have to leave the store page for the game and go back to reset it. Well, at least it's partially fixed?

I enjoy this game, and have been playing it since it was an early alpha, but I enjoy it I think because I have friends to play with. I think that makes all the difference in a MMO of this style. I can imagine it probably seems a bit dull to new/solo players on the surface.

Ok. I am happy to report that I was able to play it on my R9 380X but there's a catch. I had to launch the game from the installation folder as it would not launch from steam itself. I hope this gets fixed soon. I'm sure it will be, till then I have to play it this way.

I just bought it and installed it a few minutes ago. Gonna give it a go after I get some sleep. Thanks again for the recommendation. Good to see more Penguins are buying the game. ^_^

Quoting: CorbenYeehaaw!

When I talked to the CEO of Rockfishgames about the Linux version, he said he thinks they are doing the port for about 1000 people at max... let's prove him wrong!
Oh, I think we will sir! I'm buying a copy tonight as well! I love space sims and roguelikes so this is right up my alley. What a neat combination. Got my fingers crossed though as I am all AMD, both my rigs, aside from my intel laptop I use for work. I do not own any Nvidia products, so if it isn't currently working on AMD graphics chips then I'll have to wait till it does.

I am willing to take the chance though as I have a huge backlog anyway and I am sure if it doesn't work on Linux with AMD graphics now it probably will in due time. Also, I trust Liam's judgment as he has not let me down yet as far as game recommendations go. Thanks for the heads up Liam, and to all my Penguins, let's show 'em how many Linux gamers there really are out there!

We have a bunch of "Wild Terra Online" keys to give away (all gone!)

Already bought the game a couple weeks ago, but grats to everyone who got a free key! I hope to see some of you in game soon when I have the time to sit down and commit to it. Probably next week. By then, I'll be looking for a Linux based guild to join. Enjoy the game all, cheers!
