Woah molly, this isn’t the kind of game I expect when I hear Team 17! I’m surprised you didn’t add a gore warning before that video, Liam (not that I personally mind).
Game manager Lutris just had a huge update with D9VK, Discord Rich Presence and more

Quoting: edoLast time I tried it (like 2 years ago) I couldnt figure out how to use it, I always felt playonlinux was easier to use. I dont use any of those now, since now steam has proton, I would take a look at it if I ever buy overwatchI’ve definitely had an easier time with Lutris than PoL, and it looks like it has a more active community, or at least more up-to-date scripts. It always seemed that PoL was hard to get into, while Lutris seem to have had more success in getting people outside the development team to contribute.

I happened to replay a bit of Epistory this week, saw this and signed up for the beta. Good to know I probably won’t get picked since Linux is coming later ^_^

Steam Play Proton 4.11-3 is out, big changes for gamepads and new D9VK

Proton will no longer emulate them all as if they were Xbox controllers, instead games will access them directly. So DualShock 4 (PS4) gamepads, fighting pads and more should behave more like they do on Windows.Oh, I thought it was doing that on purpose for games that weren’t designed with non-xbox controllers in mind. I sure look forward to seeing the right key prompts!

Quoting: scaineWhat's the weird bar in the middle of the screen? I couldn't focus on the dude running - too busy wondering what it did, how it was going to change, why it was there...? :)The blue one seems to deplete when he dashes forward, so probably stamina. I imagine the fuchsia one is HP. There’s also an icon that appears in between them when he does the fire dash.

I don’t know if I should laugh or be angry at the fact that Hades, which was promoted as one of the first exclusives on EGS, was in beta all along, and that the exclusivity is ending while it is still in beta. What a ridiculous industry.
I would have been a lot less disappointed in Supergiant if I had known this all along.

Steam Play passes six thousand Windows games playable on Linux, according to ProtonDB

It's worth noting though, that with little over nine thousand games currently reported, Steam does host well over thirty thousand so there's a huge amount that hasn't yet been tested.Incidentally, that ratio probably hints at the amount of junk on Steam (but also probably a lot of less-known and older titles that people aren’t interested in testing and replaying at this point).
Steam Play arrived on Linux one year ago, some thoughts

Quoting: AnanaceMy personal opinion is that both Stadia and Proton are promoting Linux, just in different ways. Stadia is encouraging developers to write Linux versions of their games, while not necessarily releasing said Linux versions except to Google - who are curating the platform and ensuring the stability of said releases.I do like the idea that Google is driving AAA’s to hire Linux professionals and increase their in-house expertise on the platform. That creates more employment opportunity for existing developers, and in the long term we get more developers who are "tuned into" Linux as a potential release target. Even if the big studios won’t do it, those developers might be interested in Linux when they move out.
So Stadia will most certainly create more native Linux versions of games, but Linux as a desktop/gaming OS might not see much improvement from that.

I’m disappointed that Nowhere Prophet didn’t get more attention. Still only 200 reviews on Steam. Good to see it made it into their top 20 releases anyway. Slow month I guess?
