Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's First DLC Now Out, And Linux Is Supported

Does this update include a fix for the crash/hang issue? This is the first game to cause my entire Ubuntu system to hang, and require a forced shutdown/restart. Apparently Windows users experience it as well. Anyone else here have that issue, and know a fix?

When can we (AMD user) expect an update which *significantly* improve performance?
This depends entirely on AMD, and knowing them, it will be a good 5 years or more down the road if at all. I remember asking this question in 2008, and only in 2013 was my question answered for the games I asked that question for in 2008.

Will it be compiled with the latest PhysX SDK? It'd be cool to be the first game on Linux to offload it's physics tasks to the GPU instead of the CPU (at least for Nvidia systems).

GOL Survey Results: October

Filled in. Looks like something I'll be looking forward to monthly now :)

On that note, Intel + Nvidia seems to be the defacto hardware for gaming on Linux (and for good reasons too). What did surprise me is that KDE DE users almost rival Unity users (at least for the sample that took this survey).

The Wine Development Release 1.7.30 Is Now Available.

You could help them. Wine isn't run by a company; it's a community project, so you can easily contribute.
However, even the company that keeps Wine alive isn't working towards DX10/11 support (CodeWeavers). I purchase CrossOver regularly and always hope that will be their main goal. DX12 is around the corner, and we're still at DX9 in Wine.

In all honesty, if I had the expertise, I would assist in this project. Frustratingly, knowing OpenGL and DirectX to that degree requires being in that field as a job to sufficiently partake in this.

I really love these guys, and Feral! I'm ready and waiting to buy their next game. I've already bought Borderlands The Pre-Sequel because of them (I've never bought a Borderlands game on release before).

What in tarnations? That's the quickest way to flush your career down the drain... Being patient would have no doubt been a lot more beneficial, than being a hot head.

That's pretty cool news!

I didn't think NVIDIA would make a move in such short notice, but it shows that Aspyr are really pushing for this. I'm grateful, and I hope NVIDIA continue to support us as best as they can. Continual improvements are always welcome :)
