GeForce NOW on Steam Deck really can be a game-changer

It's pretty good to have that tool into the steamdeck arsenal. Many AAA title are demanding hardware speaking. It's also more and more rare that it have good replay value, so it's definitly great option to play it with good quality settings on this device.

Steamdeck is already able to do so many things just like a pc with a well thought console interface and versatility. (Emulation of your old consoles, small linux tools accessible, convertible into a small pc you can plug on tv for movies or office work...).

I'm not into streaming services especially with with slow internet, but I'd say the more the better.

I guess this way of playing is also good for battery life.

I perfectly remember one of the possible ending sentence of Monkey Island 1. Don't want to spoil, but Ron Gilbert was basically saying that even at that price they would still be making a lot of money. I trust the dev.

OFC there is inflation, but with those 20bucks back in the days, I would fill my car, buy some cigarettes, and probably even few beers to share with friends. With 90€ nowadays I'm not even sure I can fill my car anymore.

The problem is coming from people making money with video game while they don't know anything about it, and gets most of the subsidies while devs and players pay the price of their non ending greediness.

I'm almost certain outside of indie devs that 35% of the price is going to these sharks. They are the initiator of price increase because they want more from the cake to the point of ruining it in every possible manner, because then they lower the quality in every possible manner by willing to take more wherever they can, thus making life hard for the people who really loves videos game. (devs & gamers)

Never had to do it, but you could literaly phone Ron Gilbert if you had an issue with the game xD

Sad for the dev, and I wish him to be at peace whatever is happening to him. CoreCtrl is such a great tool. Exactly the kind of software that make me feel happy to use linux. Hopefully someone will get into it and continue the project in one form or another.

Microsoft donates the Mono Project to the Wine team

If Microsoft want their operating system to stay alive without making monthly subscription or bloated adware all over the screen from hazardous company, they got to open more, and let's say it: make windows open source. They could then provide professional support expertise and sell this service for those in need.

Let's get down to it, they don't have much more options.

I'm almost certain MS plans was to make win 12 a montly subscription until some rumors spread about it. They'll probably try to do it with win 13, but it won't go as planned if they continue to treat customers the way they do.

On the other hand it's all good for Linux, they are making the "desktop year of linux" happening way faster than expected with this actual trend ;)

EA want to put adverts in your video games to squeeze you for every penny

I quit EA games since origin came out! They have some good title, but their policy is probably one of the most terrible from the market.
