It doesn't mean you have to pirate. Just don't play.

Quoting: kuhpunktWell, what is the fuss about it then? You won't die if you don't play those game.Quoting: LeopardI don't want to do that. What do you not get about that? :/Quoting: kuhpunktBuying PS3 games is still possible. Assuming you don't have PS3 , just get a compatible bluray drive then buy/rent/borrow games you wanted and dump them.Quoting: LeopardBut buying/playing games on Steam is easier than piracy and the difference is that buying games is possible. I can't buy isos for PS3 games, even though I would.Quoting: kuhpunktWell , if you look at that way many PC gamers are also pirating PC games despite how accesible they are. There are many people who has GTX 1080 class gpu's yet still pirating games.Quoting: LeopardEmulation is legal. Dumping games is legal, but how many people are actually dumping their own games? Barely any. And even if they do: it would still be annoying. I'd rather just start Steam, click on "download" and then play it with an emulator.Quoting: kuhpunkt????????Quoting: SpirimintIt would just be so much nicer if it could be completely legal. I get that devs don't want to put any effort into old games, but at least they could just sell the roms/isos on Steam. As always, emulation remains as a vital part of gaming's history. Not just so we don't lose access to tons of older games many years later when a developer moves on, but so we can play them often better than the developer was able to run them on the system it was originally designed for.Totally agree!! Emulation keeps games alive!

Due to legal reasons, PlayStation 3 titles cannot be distributed online and must be self-dumped from your own PlayStation 3 console or from your computer using a compatible Blu-ray drive.Completely legal.

Quoting: sigzNo? Bumblebee didn't help for anything. Prime was a better solution , at least it was reliable.Quoting: LeopardBumblebee is thrash and not necessary.Don't say that... bumblebee helped a lot in the past when there was no other solutions..

It has significant overhead. From now on , that solution should be used.
Without needing to logout to change active gpu ( Prime ) , Intel will be working on desktop but when you go gaming NV will kick in. Just like NV driver does on Windows for a very long time.

Quoting: Exidanwhat a timing... I just bought a new notebook, and it has nvidia. I was already studying every possible way to handle multiple GPUs.Bumblebee is thrash and not necessary.
But that means bumblebee will be able to handle vulkan now? or is bumblebee not even necessary now?

That rise is only related to ACO buzz. They rushed to test many games with ACO and they had many things to report.

Quoting: ShmerlThat's a huge proportion of AMD GPUs and CPUs in those reports. Different ratio than in GOL stats. That is for hw combination of reporters of that particular month.

This guy did some comparision on this game with Aco + Feral port vs Windows DX12 renderer.

Quoting: jensYes. I meant Feral port of this game on Linux performs nearly same as Windows version running on Windows. Windows vs Linux basically.Quoting: LeopardI guess you meant the Windows version of RotTR on Windows is nearly on pair with the native Linux version, right? :)Quoting: appetrosyanIs there a Linux native game that uses Vulkan? I wonder if all the wins are due to OpenGL being bad, or because of something else...Yes. Lately pretty much all Feral ports are on Vulkan. An excellent example on that is Rise of The Tomb Raider.
That is nearly on par with Windows version at performance terms.
From what I know the native Linux version performs a lot better than the Windows version on Linux using DXVK. Which is kind of expected (and not meant as criticism towards DXVK) considering both are targeting Vulkan and the nature of how DXVK works vs the possibilities Feral has when porting a game.
