Quoting: timothyjaHopefully it has some type of Media play support built-in, I really could do with something better than what I'm using now.Looks like it has.
This approach means that as well as being a great gaming device, Ataribox is also a full PC experience for the TV, bringing you streaming, applications, social, browsing, music, and more.

Quoting: GuestHow can you come up with those things?Quoting: TheSHEEEPNo time to test it?Yep, 99% of the market trumps the 1%.
Well, that speaks volumes...
Quoting: MotionshotThen why don't they release it as beta then on Steam? That way, Linux users who bought the game can help them test it while enjoying their pre-order.You mean, so the Linux community can slate the developer for "only doing a beta release which is full of bugs and runs like sh*t, lets all tell the developer to die" ?

Quoting: PlintslîchoYes , Everspace is Drm free. Some people are just thinking every game on Steam is Drm'ed. It is publishers decision , Steam is okay with either Drm or Drm freeQuoting: ShmerlI don't own the game yet so I may be wrong and someone please correct me if I am.Quoting: JahimselfI'm very happy to play this DRM Free game on linux. It's not out on GOG yet.
But from what I understand the game can be launched independently from Steam.
The client is not needed for playing the game. In that case, Steam would merely be the distribution platform.

Steam is not forcing anyone to Drm , it is just devs, publishers choice to using a Drm or not using a Drm
