I'm a Steam user, mostly due to points already mentioned elsewhere in this thread: ease of use, auto-updates, Valves investments into Linux, having all games in one place etc. In my opinion going back to GOG manual downloads and manual updates is like coming from Linux package management and going back to Windows installers, shrug. The DRM-free stuff seems quite important for some people, I think it is a marketing feature to have some distinction/usp's to other stores more than anything else.
That said, I really don't want GoG to close shop doors. I like that they value and keep good old games "alive". They don't invest into Linux like Valve, I guess they simply can't do this even if they wanted considering the low number of Linux users, but they are supportive and offer Linux visibility. This is already a lot more than other stores. I want Valve to succeed, to prosper and to get rewarded for their Linux investments. But equally I want GoG in a healthy state. I think both can and should happily co-exist (together with itch.io).
(Most important, without GoG we would miss a lot of heated discussions here ;))

Quoting: iwantlinuxgamesThanks a lot for grepping this! I guess I'm starting to understand how NVidia branches :). My guess is that the Vulkan enhancements of 418.31.03 (and other following point release) will then appear in the next major or minor stable release but not in another stable 418.31 release.Quoting: jensFor the people that already use this driver, is this one on pair with 415.22.05 regarding Vulkan support? Does this driver e.g. knows the VK_KHR_depth_stencil_resolve extension?aye it does:
vulkaninfo |grep depth_stencil
VK_KHR_depth_stencil_resolve : extension revision 1

What are the effects of having VK_EXT_depth_clip_enable? Does having and using this extension by DXVK prevents some sort of clipping issues or is it more efficient/improves performance when setting this (once) on the driver side?
(I wish my knowledge would be better in graphics api domain..)

Quoting: DuncYep, out of the box with Steam Play. Unfortunately no intro-movie due to media foundation, though I consider this acceptable. Hell of fun to drive these GT3 monsters :)Quoting: jensAssetto Corsa CompetizioneWait... it works? Right, I know what's next on the wishlist... :)

Dark Souls III, first DLC - I consider myself a hero to have finished the main story, though I admit I used co-op to finish some of the later bosses. :)
Assetto Corsa Competizione - Really cool feeling with a Logitech G25.
Occasionally Two Point Hospital and Lego Jurassic Park, cool games to play together with kids.
I hope to spend some time soon into another round of Civ6 and Life is Strange BtS. Lets hope that it will take some time until Shadow of the Tomb Raider arrives on Linux, otherwise my backlogs will never decrease :)
