Quoting: FerroTiCI guess so, but I was dissecting the json with file list and downloaded and unpacked all the files and even got the main screen to load only to be presented that game:something not found...Quoting: Lord_PhoenixI've been trying various tricks over last month, but I can't make it work in my Fedora setup. :( Looks amazing thought.Me too. I am unable to start the BYAR on my Fedora 33 setup.
it is giving me lots of errors:
Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)
Error in curl Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?) (error setting certificate verify locations:
CAfile: /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
CApath: /etc/ssl/certs)
Perhaps again the infamous libcurl vs libcurl-gnutls problem.

Wow, that was one of my favourite games growing up. I even made a windows sound scheme based on in-game sounds :)
Serfs is a new in-development medieval RTS that looks promising, it just added Linux support

Looks great and feels like good old Settlers. Downloaded Linux demo from the website and it just worked on my Fedora 32, so looks very promising, gonna keep an eye on it.

Quoting: TheSyldatI was actually genuinely asking and was not trying to sound like a snob. It's obviously a personal preference and I guess I never considered myself as a fan of interactive novels. Again, *maybe* on a mobile platform, but not a desktop/laptop. Good to know there is a market for this type of games.Quoting: Lord_PhoenixI don't know, to be honest, this is barely a mobile game, so will anyone miss it if it won't make it to the platform? How about you learn to keep your " Gamer™ " snobism to yourself.
Visual Novels are enjoyed by lots of people and are functionally video games versions of a Choose Your Own Adventure book.
Not everything needs to be "for you" you know ...
And yes if they indeed decide to ninja smoke bomb away from porting it on Linux this game will be missed by some.
I know I'll miss it, was very much looking forward to play it.

I'm really disappointed here, it's an amazing game, I've played somewhat to the extent of local play with 4 bots and was really looking forward to Linux version.
Such a shame...
Of course, this is a reminder not to buy a game before it lands on Linux.Truly have to be new moto from now on... Given current pace I don't think we'll see any AAA games natively on Linux any time soon.
Such a shame...
