The real problems will start *if* they will licence it to other non EA developers as well, hope we will never see that day and they at least keep their crap EA (games) exclusive. When the C&C remaster hit Steam without the need for the origin launcher I was well surprised, but looks like EA never learns..
SteamOS 3.2 out for Steam Deck — better fan curves, refresh rate switching

Quoting: slaapliedjeSo when are we going to find a Deck verified multiplayer game we can do co-op in? Something like Left4dead!There are actually quite a few co-op games listed as at least playable already, like Back 4 Blood, Deep Rock Galactic, 7 Days to Die, Satisfactory. Payday 2 for example is even marked as verified. I guess since Warframe is explicitly mentioned in the SteamOS 3.2 release notes it is supposed to work as well (no mentions on the store page yet). Note I didn't actually test any of them myself on the Deck yet, however except for Back 4 Blood I played all of them for quite some hours under Linux on the Desktop where they all worked great for me.

Now if only someone could fix OpenSceneGraph (which is used by OpenMW) to work with the latest ffmpeg >= 5: https://github.com/openscenegraph/OpenSceneGraph/issues/1111 [External Link] and OpenMW itself https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/-/issues/6631 [External Link]. Others like CorsixTH [External Link] and FreeSpace 2 Open [External Link] have already done their homework in this regard.

Now I wish they'd fix the shader cache downloads to only include the shaders relevant for the steam deck itself, it's really annoying that everytime you turn the device on every games updates hundreds of megabytes of shaders even though neither mesa nor steamos itself got updated to justify redownloading them.
Discover Overlay is a Discord chat UI that now works on Steam Deck

As stated in the previous comment I also think the name is plain stupid, regarding https://apps.kde.org/de/discover/ [External Link] used as a GUI to install stuff on KDE. It can only cause confusion and even more so on the Steam Deck where people not familiar with KDE end up so one might wonder if this was even done on purpose.
Forza Horizon 5 on Linux? Yeah okay fine, Proton Experimental was updated

Did someone try this yet and can actually comfirm it works on plain "Proton Experimental"? I'm asking because https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/5285 [External Link] is a huge mess with questionable workarounds and people throwing in all kind of non related and obsolete information in all over the place.
As the official ChangeLog is just saying it works I just want to ask if:
* Does it *really* work on NVIDIA?
* Does multiplayer work as well?

Might be worth noting that Proton GE >= 5.8-GE-1-MF should allow the character videos to play as stated in the release notes [External Link].

Quoting: minkiuOut of curiosity what linux are you running?I'm running Exherbo Linux and while we also offer the possibility to switch to musl if desired, the default is glibc, which is also what I'm using.
Could it be you are using musl instead of glibc?

Meanwhile every game I try running with the "Steam Linux Runtime" fails with
while they run fine without the container solution.
It's funny how containers are said to be the cure to everything by adding yet another layer of complexity.

@liam is it worth playing Dying Light via Proton instead of running the native version? In the past I read that it performs much better via Proton than the native port, wonder how you run it since you seem to play it quite frequently. I've been playing the native port some years ago but need to pick up on it again some time, hence my interest.
