Quoting: razing32Nice to hear.
But considering how much time it took for just Morrowind not sure if I would get my hopes up for other Bethesda titles.
Oblivion runs more or less on the same engine, with a bunch of strap-ons.
They wouldn't be starting from scratch.
Hmm , ok , then we might be seeing it as well . That would be cool.

Also , is "strap-ons" a correct term ? All that comes to mind is the sex toy....

Numbers seems to support we are still quite small.
I wish we could at least match the MAC population. :(

Already had it from a Humble Bundle.
May just give it a go now that it left EA.

SimAirport, an airport design and management game is looking for Linux testers

Quoting: PhiladelphusThat's pretty cool. I like that art style, and I have wondered in the past why no one has done an airport management simulation game yet.

Now if someone could just remake Sim Farm from my childhood I'd be happy. :)
I'd prefer Sim Ant to be honest. :P

Grampa Dwarf Fortress must be shaking his cane at the young whipersnappers...

Wow, finally a kindred soul. I thought I was the only one (by the number of downvotes to my negative review ;-).
Didn't find it playable either. I love touching stories, but the game must allow me to actually experience them...
Would join the club but have not played more than 3 mins of it.
Controls seemed cumbersome but will give it another fair shot before I write it off.

ICY: Frostbite Edition, a narrative-driven post-apocalyptic survival RPG will release with Linux support

Quoting: Mountain ManSo many RPGs promise a dynamic, choice-and-consequences narrative. Does this actually deliver? Most games offer minor deviations in an otherwise static narrative.
Played the original back on Winblows.
Not so much , there were a few quests where you could side with A or B and at the end you could choose a side in the chaos to win the day. (won't spoil)

Quoting: ExpalphalogI hate survival games, but I love narrative choice games. The closer this is to, say, Sunless Sea, and the farther it is from any of the myriad "hit thing to gain a different thing to craft another thing, oops some meter dropped too low so you're dead" games, the more likely I am to buy it.
It's more like sunless sea then.
Not so much crafting , more like hunting to get food as traveling depletes your stockpile and you need to keep your party warm.

Also , this part worries me
, a node-based travel system,
.
The original was like Fallout 1 and 2 and you never knew what you could stumble upon event wise between destinations.

Looks like Cosmic Star Heroine could have a Linux version soon

Quoting: Alm888So, they basically ran Kickstarter campaign several years ago, developed the entire game exclusively on Windows, not even checking Linux compatibility once, released the game and only after 3 months he (the "coder-guy" ) finally graces us with his first Linux install of the life.

They seem to be professionals of the highest caliber! "Promise now, deal with it later" at its best! Keep your fingers crossed that they didn't use some Windows-only plugins, like… you know… Obsidian (hello capes!) or Antagonist (Through the Woods [External Link].
Hmm , did not hear of those games.
Are they not being ported because of said plugins ?

Tower of Time, a story-based RPG with dynamic real-time combat will come to Linux

Hmm , wonder if it's pure combat only or if it offers some role playing opportunities as well.
