Hyperspace Delivery Service is a very retro looking strategy and adventure game coming to Linux

On the other hand graphics eat a lot of dev costs. If they don't have experience in 3D engines or want to save costs by making the game pixelated it can be convenient. Budget friendly too.
Just my two cents.

Quoting: iiariAs someone who should appreciate this retro phase, having cut my teeth on gaming in the 80's and 90's, I'm not getting this retro craze at all. I mean, we have thousands upon thousands of actual games from the 80's and 90's to play on Linux in emulation. Somewhere, I have a 2.2 gig or so file of the entire Amiga gaming canon. I'm just not getting the point of new/old gaming titles. Can someone explain this to me?It's nostalgia for some part. People like to play something that looks familiar. Like eating what you ate as a kid , or re-watching a TV show from when you were younger. Hell , I spent one weekend on call wathing old reruns of Scooby Doo.

The interface of Star Trek 25th Anniversary.
Will be interesting how all the genres mashed together work.

Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass has new screenshots and a much bigger world

The second game , Serious Sam second encounter was set in parts of South America but there was variety with temples, caves and jungles.
Serious Sam II had a variety of environments.

Quoting: EikeThe first game , Serious Sam first encounter was all set in Egypt. So sand and pyramids all the way. There was some variety with gardens , pools etc , but sand it was.Quoting: GuestThere were too much desert levels in TFE and BFE. I would say that it was the major flaw of level design in these games - the levels became boring too fast due to similar design. While I'm fine with desert levels, in my memory BFE (the only Serious Sam game I've ever played) consisted solely of desert levels.

Fair enough , with enough artists that seems doable.
If the game logic stays roughly the same they can pull it off.

Quoting: pbHmm , a more polished , less pixelated version.Quoting: razing32Hmm , done by 2019 ?https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/the-bards-tale-iv/posts/2188974 [External Link]
That's quick
Wonder how re-mastered they can make a game THAT old.
Scroll down to "our goals for the Trilogy remaster". I'm guessing something similar will happen to Wasteland.

You grind for a week to level up your orks.
Some schmuck buys lootcrates for 20$ and gets high level orks.
His orks win , yours are dead for good. Have fun grinding more.
(that's at least how i understood it)

Quoting: EhvisThe bigger problem was multiplayer IMOQuoting: MohandevirIf that's the case, insta-buy for me. It just had the final update to remove lootboxes and add content. It seems like the perfect time for a Linux port:Unfortunately, the late game was apparently pretty boring. And it wasn't even something that could be fixed by loot boxes.
