It is still active project and they explain why they dont make big releases.
Edit: I see now, they only offer it for certain distros https://wiki.vcmi.eu/Installation_on_Linux [External Link] otherwise needs to be build from source.

Quoting: Liam DaweYup, we're following that too but no new release for some time now.Yea, they havent made stable release for almost 5 years now. But Fedora for example has 2 years old build in its repos. Although as far as I remember this also had some AI issues last time I tried it, but thats some time ago.

Quoting: https://wiki.vcmi.eu/Main_PageAs of January 2021, we dont make big official releases anymore, but instead we provide a new version every several days: everytime when there is a new feature finished or new bug fixed. Not sure where or how those new versions are provided though.
Although there are no official "big releases", we reccomend updating the game at least twice a year, to make sure you have an updated, best version.
We try not to break savegame files compatibility, so you shouldnt have problem returning to your old games after update.
Please see corresponding "installation on" articles for details for your platform.

Looking at the reported issues it seems the AI might still be problematic.

VR is absolutely insane, I am officially a convert and it works mostly great on Linux

VR also quite changes perspective about size of things in games. For example I was quite surprised by the size of headcrabs in HL:Alyx when I had a chance to play it. They are like big turkeys, but you never realize that when playing on normal screen. It makes sense, because they need to be big enough to gobble your entire head and brain, but that scale does not translate well on a flat screen (that illusion can be directly compared when watching HL:Alyx through VR goggles and watching the game on a flat screen).

Quite disgusting, no second chances, no redemption, just remove him forever and do not return. People really did turn into judge, jury and executioners. If they weren't cowards they would just say it out loud that he should rather die and not exist anymore. Where is the respect or often mentioned tolerancy? :(

Great game, already finished campaign, DLC missions and all challenge missions. No reason not to buy it even at full price, because there are no ifs, ands, or buts about the port. Just done and done, working perfectly, enjoy great game. That really needs to be rewarded. Hope the next one is even better.

Quoting: LinuxwarperValve gets 30% cut. They are clearly spending money to improve Linux. So why wouldn't you buy on SteamValve doesn't get 30% cut for a game of this magnitude, they will get 20% only and I wouldn't be surprised if CDPR made extra deal for even smaller cut.

Also your comments about realism... ehm... what can I say here? You want to claim that the game is not suppose to be about WW2 or what? What are we talking about here? The setting of the game is real and the game makes it clear enough. Is it just more hand waving? I am not trying to convince you not to play the game, but you being baffled by people taking issue with it is slightly concerning. The reason why I mentioned it in the first place is so people know and can decide for themselves. For me it is a no buy, no matter how many penguins innazi uniforms they add to the game.

Quoting: fleskBecause some people have principles and understand context. Racial symbols... what does that even mean? We aren't talking propaganda here, the game obviously doesn't spread any hateful messages by displaying the symbols. That's a huge shortcut you took there. Censorship of history is just wrong, period. It is slippery slope to something worse around the corner. This exact kind of thinking is the reason why the creators of Attentat 1942 have so many problems distributing their game. You just wave your hand over it, because you want to play a game and have fun, but it is shortsighted point of view. Among other things I already mentioned... an obvious one... people also take issue when someone needlessly fucks with their beloved games.Quoting: mosI just don't understand why people get so worked up over it. There are hate groups to this day who use these symbols, so I understand why the developer wants to avoid using them, and I doubt doing so takes any fun out of the game, so what's the big deal? This game was never big on realism anyway.Quoting: fleskthe removal of some racial symbolsjeeez

Quoting: ArehandoroI am obviously talking about the remaster. The original is fine.Quoting: SolitaryHardly authentic WW2 when they deliberately censored the whole fact that you are actually fighting against Axis powers.I don't know what version you've played, but the original versions in Spain -where the original developers were from- the games had all kinds of real symbology.
