Nexus mods want feedback from Linux / Steam Deck users on their new cross-platform app

Even though they can in a way be described as better alternatives, what good is using wxWidgets/GTK/Qt/Gambas/Lazarus if they end up being totally dependant on one or two devs at best ?
It's far from being a totally blind choice.
Anyway, installed and will report bugs (already found one actually, relaunching the app seems to mess with the locale and turns it into german lol).

Quoting: officerniceFeedback: stop using electron. While I agree with that opinion in terms of RAM usage and non-standard interface, Electron provides tremendous advantages I'm sure you're well aware of, first and foremost being that NodeJS has tons of developers who know how to use it and can help debug it...

Just a question : do specific changes made in GE get eventually backported into mainstream Proton ?

I wonder what happened to porting it to Godot.
I heard the dev made it in a couple of days, yet I remember the latest builds I tested were still Unity-based.

Quoting: GuestAgain? Come on.It's not nice, it's the bare minimum they can do without outing themselves as complete arse, it's the step just before spitting in your face.
At least offering refunds to anyone who expected otherwise is a nice gesture.

As a long-standing (K)Ubuntu user for the last 15 years, I was wondering, is Manjaro the "rolling release distro with the power of Arch minus the hassle of reading tons of documentation" or not ?

It's simple, really.
- An employee using an AI to automate a boring or repetitive part of his/her job = GOOD.
- A company using an AI to replace an employee = BAD.

It's a good development, quite happy for Helldivers 2 players :)
Sony were testing the waters and see how far they could go with their PC player base. I'm quite surprised they didn't double down on it since there are plenty of bad examples for the last two years.
It's a good example on how a harsh reaction by large numbers is efficient against big corpos. It's all about the balance of power afterall.
Don't think for a moment they won't try again though.

If the numbers of players who cave in and create a PSN account is greater than the number of people who ask (and get) a refund, it's a win for them. The negative impact in terms of brand popularity is negligible vs the money they'll make by gathering, siphoning and reselling data from PSN accounts created by PC players. I'd dare to say, when you just look at how big corpos behave, it's a brilliant business move, especially since most players will have forgotten about this, or worse, think it's the devs that made this choice.
Next step in a few months/years is custom launcher, ads, and ultimately, mandatory monthly subscription.

Quoting: EhvisThis is where things get seriously immoral. If it was always the plan to enforce PSN accounts, why was the game sold in these countries? It's a simple gamble : they initially made millions by selling the game and not enforcing the PSN requirement. They're now counting on the fact that many players who tasted and liked the game will simply cave in and register an account. Because it's the simpler thing to do. In other countries, they count on the fact that not many players will bother asking for a refund.
