Who cares about performance improvements on Quake Champions, if that game doesn't even work because of error 103 [External Link] :D

Proton still has a lot of bugs to fix, but it is on a good way, I'm looking forward to what games will work early next year.

VK9 for getting Direct3D 9 over Vulkan has hit their 28th milestone

Quoting: mrdeathjrHowever vulkan use better multithreading cpus with better performance, when stay ready this give better performance for all users and 5.0ghz dont be required for some games as now
Just because VK9 translates DX9 to Vulkan, doesn't make games magically multi threading. In fact it won't do that at all. The games will run in single thread, but because of the low level, VK9 won't add as much overhead as OpenGl does. This means there will probably more performance, but not as much as your comment suggests.

Valve have hired another developer to upstream SteamOS driver changes, including Xbox One S rumble support

It's all nice, but I still prefer Xpadneo [External Link] a lot over the Valve driver, since it's the much better one. The Valve driver doesn't even has Battery indicator support or DPAD Axes to buttons, pfff.

I don't hold my breath. Everything Valve has released, in the last 7 years, is nothing I actually play or enjoy. I'm not saying that Valve did everything wrong or so, but they completely are running in a direction for many years I can't follow.

I don't expect Valve to know how to do a good game, which can get my attraction, anymore. I will be glad to be proven wrong, but till then I have a big D on my forehead which stands for "doubt".

Meh, he is straight forward, blunt and sarcastic. Toxic isn't really the right word.
Calling Linux (and by that their users) a second class [External Link] isn't toxic? Yeah sure, defend that guy further if you want, I don't.

Company of Heroes 2 is now officially supported on AMD GPUs on Linux

Quoting: LeopardIf that means revisiting old titles that needs performance upgrade, they're very welcome.
Especially on Company of Heroes 2, because that runs terrible even on high end hardware.

Really, what are the other games? Don't say SNOW, that is not available and never ran anything like good when it was in alpha (before Linux support was removed).

I love DRM free games! Nice move from GOG and good to see they taking care of supporting games on newer Ubuntu releases.
