Seems EA launcher is still broken for me. Can't play Battlefront II since it dropped.

EA begins swapping out Origin for EA app on Steam

Battlefront 2 got updated today, but it still starts in Origin. However some time ago I had to switch to Proton-GE as it would not start in vanilla Proton - it wouldn't understand link to start the game directly.

Still, most of Origin games for me are broken - I can't get online, thus I'm unable to unlock various bonuses and collectibles... Hope that the switch to new (mal/bloat)ware app will solve it.

I tried playing it but my the performance on my GPU (AMD Fury) was terrible. I had around 10 fps and laggy feel. I tried Proton version as well and the results were similar.

Moreover I noticed that Steamcloud doesn't share progress between Windows and Linux instances.

I'm glad they finally fixed "a misaligned stack pointer crash in Miles audio". It was really annoying. I had to start Portal 2 via Proton to play...

They fixed freetype bug by introducing another bug affecting other people. I know these things happen, but you don't promote this fix to stable. It is quite irresponsive. In the effect Steam won't work for people who don't have cups installed.
